If no souls were getting to arendenweald with the entirety of the universe going through its life cycle? How was the comparative handful of souls from the night elf population going to put a dent in the problem?
Let alone the solution was like a person trying to drop and egg off the roof and watching it break on the sidewalk. Then thinking the big brained solution was if you dropped hundreds of eggs off the roof, because one would have to make it.

Except when all of us did it. 
And we weren’t dead, cause we would sometimes die there and return our souls to their bodies and keep going, after collecting the stygia we left behind.
Also all of our friends that we rescued from there, who were taken there against their will by mawsworn who somehow crossed the veil to kidnap said friends, which was never explained. They weren’t dead, as they are now free and have returned to Azeroth.
Also, The Jailer was in the maw, but not dead either, just sort of punished to stay there. Unless the whole story of him being banished there, was actually him being killed. That makes all the covenants grouping up around him while he’s chained down that much creepier.
Oh also, Anduin was in the maw, but he’s out of it now and God only knows where he went.
Oh and while we’re on the subject of Sylvanas in the maw, she was previously, while helping The Jailer fulfill his plan, but at no point did she die. Even if she fulfills her duty of scouring it for every lost soul, once she finishes, she’s banished to stay there, but she’s still alive.
You know what, technically she died a loooooong time ago, when Arthas killed her, raised her as a banshee, then she like, killed herself by jumping off the citadel, then like Baron Ashbury killed her or something? I dunno. I’m not much of a lore nerd.
She’s died enough though. Just let her alone and allow her to toil in servitude. Let’s just pray her story is finished.

This thread is a great example of why putting your faith in the divine is a mistake. They’re only going to disappoint you in the end. I for one support our night elf cousins in finally coming to that realization.
