And orcs are earth elementels molded by aggramar… or was it norgannon?
So grond a titan construct made by aggramar made the orcs out of the earth to fight back the everbloom. So they would be another elemental based race alongside the trolls. Reflecting it makes sense now why orcs and trolls were the 2 races that could play shammie in beta.
I think freya grew life first on azeroth with the emerald dream leading into at least the proto goblins and tauren. Elune was held up in the well of eternity transforming nearby races…
…although it’s implied Elune helped the titans and freya so i’m not sure about that lore.
First life on azeroth already existed before the titans knew azeroth existed, before the old gods even landed on it. Before then it was the war of elements. The old gods came beat the elements who banded together to fight back but lost and as a result were imprisoned and forced to serve. Tauren are also descendants of the yaungol that predate the emerald dream. Yaungol are conflicting opinions of either a bull spirit or a wild god banging a centaur with the second being the more recorded as to what happened
In lore, the theory that Velen had is that Elune could be a Naaru, boy howdy that ticked off the Kaldorei
Wasn’t that khadgar not velen?
I swore Velen said it when they first encountered the Kaldorei
It was both, had to double take
Though I honestly don’t hold allot of weight to this theory. If elune was naaru for a few reasons.
- The naaru attacked the shadowlands something that elune actively tried to protect.
- Naaru are 2 sides to the same coin, starting as light then converting to shadow under duress or at lifes end.
My bet is Elune is just a 1000W light bulb in space.
Well, we do know that Naaru can turn dark.
Though the question is if they are only mindless then, or you can find naarus in other aspects.
Void naaru aren’t mindless though. We have seen that in tbc and in legoin where shadow form naaru communicate and still have rational and communicate. Its just the goals and type of energy they have that changes when either in light or shadow form. As for another apsect of naaru . I mean anything is possible really if you can justify it but I don’t see how or what purpose it would serve? For a simple reason both light and void work with a all or nothing mindset and no other force in the cosmology does that. They work on balance life can’t exist without death and vice versa. When it comes to light/void one can wipe out the other (the goal they have) and remain to exist.
I suppose you’d rather she was a fleshbag like yourself?
I mean, uh, ourselves. Yes, definitely. 100% real elf and not a robot.
You are nothing more than a mutated troll.
Dark trolls to be exact that evolved into elves due to living close to the Well of Eternity.
That’s probably true that there was non-elemental life on Azeroth before the Old Gods arrived, but when the Titans arrived, there were just the Old Gods and their creations: the Aqir (bugs) and N’raqi (faceless ones). I know Blizzard does a lot of retconning, but as far as I am aware, they’ve stated that the oldest living race (aside from the aforementioned Elementals and Old God related groups) is the Trolls. The Trolls having evolved from some of the primitive lifeforms seeded by the keeper Freya.
That timeline doesn’t make sense at all, though. The Emerald Dream is said to have been created/discovered by Keeper Freya to be used as the blueprint for the reordering of Azeroth. That was before she even started seeding any life on the world. The wild gods then emerged from life seeded by Keeper Freya in enclaves in locations where the Well of Eternity’s energies had coalesced: Un’goro, Sholazar, the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, etc… Freya herself then bound the spirits of her beloved wild gods to the Emerald Dream.
One of those first wild gods was the stag Malorne.
Now, Malorne eventually met and had a son with Elune. That son was the demigod Cenarius. When Cenarius was born, the Dragon Aspects had already been formed and defeated Galakrond (more than 20,000 years before the Dark Portal), as Ysera felt his birth in the dream and took interest in him, guiding him to the dream. Now, a bit about the Yaungol: their first recorded history starts around 12,200 years before the opening of the Dark Portal, where they were found in central Kalimdor, and were under the care and tutelage of Cenarius.
Now the Centaur, as they’re all related to this. The Centaur were created when Theradras, daughter of Therazane the Stonemother, and Zaetar, son of Cenarius, had children. This is reported to only be around 1,100 years before the Dark Portal.
Either way, either a bull spirit or wild god banging a Centaur couldn’t have happened 12,200+ years before the Dark Portal, as Centaur didn’t exist back then.
Of course, they might be referring to the Dragon Isles Centaur, who also don’t make any sense timeline wise…
Would be cool if people find her and she’s some defunct ancient adjutant from Starcraft left rotting in an old derelict command centre on an empty planet somewhere. She’s been using the last remaining power source to signal for help and these barbaric savages have interpreted all her attempts as some divine sign of a goddess. Then you get a cool chapter where NEs have to face a completely shattered reality and breakdown of their worldview. Some go batplop nuts while others embrace this in some nutty cult-like fashion.
??? No the elements were still around. The titan keepers had to banish them to the elemental plane.
You do realize that being someone’s brother and sister doesn’t mean by blood, right? It could be like Loki and Odhinn’s bond according to the Eddas. They were blood brothers as they had made a pact together.
Elune and the Winter Queen could have the same pact.
That little revelation really irritated me. I used to love the story but it has gotten so silly I don’t even read quest text any more beyond “kill x of y”.
