Eliminate "Upgrading" loot...now

We currently have 6 levels of loot with roughly 20ilvls per tier to “upgrade” using 3 different currencies NOBODY likes having…

Explorer
Adventurer
Veteran
Champion
Hero
Myth

Why the hell do we need to upgrade this loot? Just make each tier jump 20 ilvls and be done.

Explorer - 560
Adventurer - 580
Veteran - 600
Champion - 620
Hero - 640
Myth -665

This would make new tiers of gear actually feel like an upgrade and less to worry about “upgrading” as we play the game. Cmon people, we all have to many alts to keep this system alive…

Leave the loot “uPgRaDes” at the door. That’s what enchants and gems are for…

I think it’s just fine. Offers an opportunity to increase your gears potential. I don’t see a problem with it at all.

I like the upgrade system, but they should really eliminate Adventurer and Explorer track gear. They’re useless.

While I do agree that we have too many currencies rn, if you have too many alts, this whole upgrading thing shouldn’t be that big a deal because of the Warband discount.

I’ve been playing for weeks and have seen 5pcs of “warband gear” lol

Warbands are only good for the leveling XP gain. That’s it.

I just hate when I have an (example) 606 8/8, which makes me not want to invest in it with gems or enchants because I know I’ll get something like a 606 4/8 or 1/8 some day, forcing me to replace it; and enchants are not cheap.

This happened to me once already, where I had just bought a 30k gold enchant, and then I got one of the “upgrades”.

One type of crest doesn’t work though. Either you have to cap it low so people can’t farm 636 pieces in heroic dungeons, or you leave it for high items and people will never spend them on lower level upgrades.

If I was in charge, I would just remove the cap, just use one stone, and increase the amount needed for higher gear.

Forcing us to exchange seems like it’s wasting our time, and theirs by having to create other unnecessary crests/stones.

I’d even accept crests only and remove valorstones.

Valorstones are just an annoyance. Maybe if they didn’t have a hard 2k cap I’d feel differently but until that’s removed, death to Valorstones!

They aren’t unnecessary though. You want to get 636 gear out of heroic dungeons, the system is clearly not intended to do that.
