Can our helmets please finally make my ears invisible? I’m a little sick of them clipping horribly through nearly every single helmet in the game. Cartilage doesn’t stick through solid metal plate helmets. Even the “short” ear option doesn’t fully hide the ears in a lot of helmets.
I don’t really mind my eyebrows clipping through everything (I’ve learned to ignore it) but the ear thing has always bothered me. It’s a safety hazard to have your ears unprotected in combat.
That along with hair that isn’t a buzz cut whenever I use a helmet or hat would be cool too
Yeah, you’re telling me. I have long hair but it immediately turns into a short buzzcut when i wear a helmet. It’s really bad on certain medium sized helmets like the Ravencrest helmet.

No because that would mean the ears are being smushed up in the helmet. That would be way more uncomfortable. Much better to have ear holes in helmets so the ears can remain free.
Being an elf and tucking your ears in your helmet sounds painful. It makes sense why they stick out… you can choose small ear option if you don’t like it
This is precisely why I always turn helmets off. Stuff like the witch hat that’s in the trading post I won’t use only because it messes up my hair on other characters and looks completely goofy on this character.
FF14 lets you keep your hair and wear a hat. Considering how much clipping is considered acceptable I don’t see why they can’t solve it by now.
Seems like it would be really uncomfortable having your ears crumpled up inside a helmet.

Some helmets do hide the ears.
Some hide the eyebrows too.
Having ears crumpled inside of a helmet is far preferable to having them get sliced off, thanks.
You do realize that’s supposed to represent like slots in the metal for your ears to go through because it would be extremely uncomfortable to have long ears pressed against your head by metal. This is especially true of night elf ears.

Up until a patch from MoP, there were a lot more helmets that made blood elf ears invisible, For example the Nightslayer helmet used to cover blood elf male ears.
All i want is an option to have ears that don’t clip through my helmet, and to be quite frank with you, more customization in this game (which is sorely lacking in customization) is never a bad thing. I’m not asking blizzard to force you and everyone else to have your ears hiddden by a helmet, i’m asking for an optional set of ears that are covered by helmets.
They gave you that option, with humans.
