What looks good to pair with the elementalist enhance build?
I think for PvP stormbringer works pretty great so that makes me happy.
For PvE obviously stormbringer is more suited to the storm build as it rapidly generates and spends weapon stacks but totemic also doesn’t appear to boost elementalist much at all.
I might just end up playing elementalist stormbringer in everything
I’ve been curious about this too. Ironically, I had heard that the pre-nerfed version of the tier set made elementalist stormbringer the meta combo because of how much it benefited from the extra wolves.
I also feel like the reduction of two-point talents is so widely requested because it would alleviate this issue at least partially. If we had three or so spare talent points, maybe we could construct a primarily elementalist build that would gain some benefits from the stormbringer talents.

I think blizzard is mistaking the overall playstyle of enhance which is generally considered good, with the talent tree quality, which is actually pretty horrendous.
They need to increase pathing options and seriously move some talents around.
They added a “beginner build” to this last beta cycle that seemingly shows the direction they want to head in. It uses both SS and LL. I tweaked it a bit to my liking as ele, but didnt take prim wave. I tested it against elites at 78, and the tri elemental build with surging totem big pumped. Storm strike and sunder feeding damage from the totem. Lava lash buffed, and spawning lots of fire totems aoeing was actually fun .
I used 2 macros, for @player to drop surging totem on me, and to port it to me.
Im sure my build was absolutely garbage since i didnt sit there and theorycraft, but it felt like casthance from wotlk
We just got Surging Totem working so people have been messing around with Totemic again. Though if they do Wordup’s suggestion of dropping Molten Assult and Improved Maelstrom then it will be Totemic 100% for both M+ and Single most likely.
Stormbringer isn’t too bad in M+ with Elementalist since Arc Discharge cranks hard and the extra Lightning Wolf does amp its damage a lot. Tempest + Pwave shenanigans are still present. Still no idea if how those two interact is intended or a Bug. One thing that tips Elementalist over Storm for M+ Stormbringer builds is currently Pwave’s Lightning Bolt will apply Lightning Rod to every Flameshock target hit but Tempest and Chain Lightning only apply it to the target so that’s a huge 6-target cleave power over Stormbringer. Pwave into Tempest then rapid casting 3 Chain Lighting’s via Arc Discharge will be a massive onto 6 Lightning Rod targets then supply that with Lashing Flames and Frost Shock cleave. Even if that goes away, It stands to further increase Pwave’s funnel capability.
That interaction sounds really fun.
I feel like maybe if surging totem dealt flame strike damage it would work a little better with elementalist… and maybe put the wind fury node on a choice node with something else.
The only thing yeast didn’t mention was the insane swings in damage we’re seeing with elementalist totemic in testing rn, akin to old SL HH + fire wolves lineups

Yeah…basically our own version of DRE minus braindead gameplay
These damage swings are a bit more violent than the 5-10% uptime difference on DRE people were getting when we actually played storm, at least from what I can tell.
IDK Sometimes Storm swung super hard depending on when you’re getting your DRE procs in Season 2 mainly if it was perfectly timed during Doomwinds and Sunder windows. From the bit of dungeons I’ve done it can be wild if you’re getting good Searing Totem uptime with Hot Hands.
Well, whether I’m coping or not, just another reason for me to do something else the first tier
