Fantastic decision to revert some nerfs, the spec has become so much fun to play with the rework.
The ascendance bug definitely needs to be fixed but it does account for 9% of damage over a fight so depending where the spec ends up some small compensation buffs could be considered. Thanks for a great rework overall:)

every hpal i talk to say they rarely if ever have mana issues, which is prob why they did it so that yall sometimes run out of mana
the cap that puts you on par with everyone else?
Just wanted to say I appreciate you all taking a second look at the talents that seemed to make the stat switch and switch-back problem go away. I have been enjoying how ele plays since patch and was really bent out of shape my character would basically be bricked tomorrow.
Will give it a try and see how it is. I still feel like removing the second instant bolt/chain lightning storm tree is a bit of a “fun”-reducing change, but will take what I can get here.

Grateful for the partial reverts, but ST needs to be looked as well - still gonna become one of, if not the worst ST spec in the game

Thank you for your continued work at trying to balance this game. Please continue to monitor our performance with tuning as the current rework is great playwise and I would love to maintain competitive dps in my raid environment!

Thank you for listening, especially with the Echo Chamber nerf. That one was real bad and hurt ele outside of Asc when if anything it needs help there in pvp. Appreciate these updates

This should put them close to where they are meant to be. May need a small buff/or nerf here or there but they wont be nuts nor dead.

Thanks for reconsidering. Can you also reconsider the drastic ascendance overload nerf for PvP? Went from 75% to 25%. Meeting in the middle would be good.

I don’t play elemental, but I appreciate this. Makes me feel a lot better to see a spec not nuked into the very bottom tier. (Might want to look at a few things a bit further, as the total loss seems to be about 25% lower single-target with the original nerfs)

Yeah this is one more thing devs should keep an eye on. It got nerfed in pve which is reverted but the bug fix will still be a pretty major nerf, and then it got nerfed hard in pvp too with no compensation.
Reverting the echo chamber nerf is fantastic, but I think ele will maybe need a small/medium buff to something outside of Asc to help its damage with these nerfs since most of eles damage is done in Asc at the moment. Maybe a small buff to stormkeeper and a small buff to LBs from prim wave would be good so our shorter cds feel a bit better.

So great that the devs listened to the community and made these changes. Thank you. As almost everyone above me has posted, please discuss/make a plan on how to compensate for the Asc bug fix since it makes up about 9% of our single target damage. Possibly a small buff to Lava Burst or Lightning Bolt will help make up for the Asc bug loss. Thank you again!

Please consider giving us a little more sustained outside of ascendance in PvP, the nerf to overload damage is a lot in pvp and what we really lack is the sustained between the ascendance.

I made a US Trial account and levelled to 10 just to be able to post of the US forums. Thank you for looking at the feedback and re-evaluating the changes. I’d like to echo what a lot of people are saying and just please take a look at the numbers when you fix the Ascendance issue, we’re slated to lose another good chunk of single target when I feel like our single target is more in line with everyone else after the changes.
To the people who don’t play Elemental and are looking at clips of people doing 20m AoE DPS on a single pull, just remember that’s with every cooldown used (Ascendance, Storm Elemental, Stormkeeper, Bloodlust, Tempered Potion), Maelstrom pooled from the previous pull, and a full stacked spymasters, obviously things are going to die real quick.
So to summarize, please consider some changes to compensate us for the loss of the Ascendance bug.

Oh one more thing I’d like to point out:
-The nerf to Arc Discharge is not great because it nerfs gameplay not just numbers. Having 2 instant Lightning bolts in pvp feels great and really gives stormbringer a lot more potential, not a huge fan of it being reduced to 1 gameplay wise and I’m not sure its necessary either after the numbers tuning it got. It feels great since casting is rough and having less casts is a big upside to Stormbringer in pvp.
Same for pve, it feels great gameplay wise there too, gives ele a bit more movement from the instant cast chain lightnings. Felt powerful when casting tempest, and since tempest is a cast it felt really nice to have 2 instants to use after it.

Just like many others here, I want to leave a few words of appreciation for these reversions.
I also want to echo the sentiment that fixing the Ascendance bug will require substantial Single Target buffs in compensation, seeing as the bug accounts for roughly 9% of our Single Target damage. Losing that amount of damage without compensation would likely have the specc miss the developer’s tuning goal again.
Fixing the Ascendance bug will cause a significant nerf to single target, about 9%. We know in the past you guys said you want everyone to have their “Ah-ha!” moment or have a moment of power where everyone sees it. You guys absolutely nailed that with the new Ascendance entire from how it works to the model. Being a 3 min CD, it’s already long, having the 6 lava burst in one target makes the CD feel better to press. Going to 1 cast does nerf it’s power by a great deal. Please consider before changing it.
