Blizzard, This cant be all their is to fixing Elemental Shamans, this didn’t fix anything, in fact IMO it made it worse, Someone please pull their head out of their backside and look at this pile of crap.
lol they just nerfed us too.
Elemental is in a pretty good place for me =)
It’s not bad at all … nerf is basically for PvP and if that’s all they are gonna nerf we are gonna be in a much better place in PvE and PvP compared to all of 8.0
Elemental is in a pretty solid spot for pve right now. Much better than in 8.0.
Idk but I am happy with the changes, with me making another shaman alt, I can happily say I top dps charts in mythic+5. I am a casual player but man it feels great. Can it be improved? Most definitely but at least now its playable and enjoyable.
Elemental is waaaayyy better than it was pre 8.1. We still get the butt tickling from melee but I at least have a fighting chance now.
Just another hidden take Flameshock off CD and give Gust of wind thread.
Ele is way more than fine.
Stop playing a bad class.
Yea it’s better than it was. But spamming lb and cl all days gets a tad boring.
i am not sad about the changes but i wish we had more options. To be a good DPS in M Uldir you have to use SE and be good at using the pet action bars and yours. I have yet to master it and DPS spikes only help on occasion. Second SE is gone the DPS is gone
This mentality of “topping the charts” always feels weird to me.
Should specs elemental moved past now get buffs do they can “top the charts” and feel Good?
Elemental got buffs and that’s great, but every buff is a “nerf” to someone else by looking at meter placement. Other specs are now further down, don’t like it, and want buffs.
Except Elemental was in a bad place, because raid wise they only have their damage. They don’t bring raid utility. They have horrible raid representation.
That and Elemental is also stated to be a non mobile spec (something something…they dont have phones). If you are a non mobile spec, that means your damage drops very hard in movement areas. It also means if you get to stand still for a prolonged period of time, your damage better be top notch.
Before 8.1, elemental was an immobile spec, that also did bad single target damage even if they got to stand still.
So situations that benefit elemental (low movement single target or 4-5 target AE), elemental better be topping the charts. Just like when situations occur that hamper elemental (2-3 target cleave, and massive AE, heavy movement) I expect others to top the charts.
There are 24 dps specs.
Are there 24 niches where each get to top the charts?
I’m not even arguing that elemental didn’t need buffs, just the mindset.
If a dps spec does not have a niche, it needs one. There are multiple charts to be on. And no, you don’t have to be at the top of a chart. You can be good on many charts. This is not the case for elemental shaman, and definitely was not the case in 8.0.
Elemental shaman did not previously have a niche. Right now it has a very narrow niche, and thats ok. That niche being “single target fights with zero movement and ae fights with only 4-5 mobs”.
u have no 3rd pvp talent
I don’t pvp a lot, and I had earth fury before 8.1. RIP.
