This has the potential to be the most unbalanced class ever seen in WoW history in p2.
Right now, elemental shamans don’t have their core spells, don’t have their core talent points, and are kind of forced to wear a mix of cloth with leather. Come phase 2, this changes…
You will have a caster in plate armor (mail/shield/10% dmg reduction), with guaranteed Lava Burst crit.
So don’t let him get in 20 yards of you to flame shock you? Or quick dispel the flame shock to cuck the damage? This isn’t starsurge buddy.
Honey you don’t get the point. This is going to be broken in pvp. Utterly invincible.
This class is going to be a Prot Warrior that hits like a fire Mage.
Why are you complaining about your own class?
A lot of classes got crazy stuff they will be strong but so will lots of others
The rune combination will allow for a class with tank level defenses and the damage of a burst caster. The only reason this doesn’t work in p1 is because elementals have no actual gear. Come p2, they will.
It will be insanely broken.
At least someone else understands. You’ll have to either engage them from distance and kite, or leave them alone because anyone in melee range is gonna get absolutely toasted

SL is a trap at 40. You lose instant cast Corruption.
SL will be extremely strong at 50+ but not really until then.
Didn’t even see this. You can’t even have Soul Link and Siphon Life in Classic, even at 60.

Not the truth. Everything ele shaman does that is significant damage comes from hard casts. If you get in melee range, you’re free to:
Spell pushback them for days.
Interrupt.
Dance around them.
CC (and shaman have no real CC themselves)
Ele shaman are great in a vacuum. They’re not great in any less than ideal scenario though.
As a warrior I am very afraid of the tank Elemental Shaman. Until I press pummel, that is.
You wanna know a secret?
Don’t use Flameshock just cast Lava Burst as a spell with a different spell school and hope somebody kicks it.
Save shock for kick or slow.
And way of earth makes your kick melee range. It’s probably pretty good rune vs melee but I think sacrificing a 6sec cd kick is pretty bad.
heh it wont be as great as you think in bgs cause you know as well as i do they will add in a damage reduction aura in ab and your ability to global people wont be like as ez as you think.
shaman also need that dr and hp cause they have alot less of an ability to hardcast and need the buffer to get space on people and take hits while doing so.
but ya a shadow priest is gonna be bonkers next phase.

Elemental has a talent that gives 100% pushback resistance after getting hit from a crit. It won’t be a problem.
Have you read the tooltip on Way of Earth recently? 6% reduced chance to be crit. You won’t be activating that talent.
I do agree it won’t be as strong as it’s being made out to be. But
Talents that give spell pushback immunity, and can just trade Way of Earth for Earth Shield.
This doesn’t really work as well against Eles, as evidenced in Wrath Arena if an Ele is casting Chain Lightning or Lava Burst and you kick it, they just immediately hit you with the other one since they’re 2 different schools of magic.
The issue isn’t the burst itself.
Its the fact it will be a TANK that will have the same damage as a burst caster.
a tank that has to hardcast the main nukes to do as much burst as a caster.
easily kickable or counterspelled or pushed back from a hunter pet or someone wacking at you.
