I am wondering what stats are more important. I read one website where mastery is best, then another saying haste-crit. I mainly just run mythic.

I’m pretty sure its Haste then Crit, with Mastery coming to the fore for AoE builds.
Mastery is good when you are running the mountains will fall talent, but when you are in M+ most of your damage will come from Chain Lightning + Chain Lightning Overload then Lightning Rod, LMT, and other abilities. Haste will make you cast your CL faster, and crit will make it hit harder also combined with Elemental Fury talent. So, in M+ you’ll want more Crit/Haste build. Each tick of Earthquake has a chance to crit which makes crit more valuable for it.
There is a build where you are focusing more on Single Target fights where you would go more into Haste/Mastery as most of your damage would come from Lightning Bolt, and Ele Blast + their overload damage. Since you wouldn’t be casting Ele Blast as often as Earthquake in single target, you’d rather have mastery to try to get a free extra instant cast than just worrying about it critting once.
