- Which in your opinion is more engaging to play in terms of rotation?
- Which has better spell animations?
- Which has more badass lore?
- Which is performing better in pve/pvp?
Shaman is the answer to all of your questions.
- They are about the same right now.
- Depends on race (for both) AND whether you glyph to not be an overfed chicken.
- Druids have excellent general lore (both factions) as do Horde Shaman.
- Shaman/Shaman.
Ele sham. I find balance very cluttered.
It’s close, but I think balance druid. Awesome talent names as well.
Ele sham. I hate that they made balance druids all about cosmic space lasers rather than actual nature spells.

- Roughly the same style.
- Boomy.
- Ele.
- Ele.
Female Panda sham, and they can be both sides. Lore depends on you, but to me DID and Wildhammer are the most “badass”. Special mention to Stars glyphed female NE’ animations. Boomy gameplay is a bit bland, Shamy is better in dungeon/raid/pvp rn.
1, 2, 4 Shaman
3 Druid
I really want to play my Balance druid, and they might do fine in M+ and raids when they aren’t having to facetank stuff, but they take a ridiculous amount of damage when running solo and doing delves. My Balance druid runs most of her delves in Guardian spec.
My Shaman is far superior. Plus all 3 shaman specs are pretty rocking for M+ and raids atm it seems. If you aren’t looking to tank at all go shaman.
Listen brother, just come over and join the Cenarion Circle. We have space lasers. You can also turn into a bird mid free fall. Soar like an eagle ![]()

- Can’t tell you this one, I’ll leave that to the people doing endgame content more =P
I find Ele shaman to be a lot slower and not as enjoyable to play than boomie. Both have great animations and lore. I don’t know about the last one. I only do randoms and casual content, where it doesn’t matter what class/spec is used.
We also have flap. I don’t know how many times that ability (a lot of people forget it’s there) has saved me from dying on an accidental fall indoors.
imagine not being able to just pick a class based on your favorite thing to play into. You should’ve just called this thread. What’s the flavor of the month lol. Then you could’ve just gotten a one-word answer and gone and rolled that class.
Very true, flap is dope. I personally have a problem with getting distracted with alts. Honestly though, I don’t even know why I bother anymore. Insta-cast flight form > than all other classes imo
I always find myself going back to one of my Druids way sooner than expected because of that qol alone ![]()
Not to mention I feel like a dive bomber swooping in, swapping forms for the landing, wiping mobs and flying right back out. There’s something so
about it all. The simple things am I right?
I’ve had a Moonkin since vanilla, and an Elemental Shaman since the day TBC came out. I still enjoy my Moonkin, but for me, Elemental lost its luster around the time Legion came out. The cast times feel way too long unless you have a boatload of haste, and it feels like too much of the overall damage relies on the instant Lave Burst procs.
It seems Shaman is the winner

Shaman doesn’t have to be a fat chicken man or a washed out blue smudge, so yeah it wins.
Ele shaman has a pretty wild rotation, lots of abilities and lots of procs. Moonkin is a much more static rotation with fewer abilties, very predictable and steady damage with more ramp up.
They both perform very well in M+, you can do 10s on either.
Animations are subjective but I think ele wins that.
