Elemental Shaman Lightning Build?

TL;DR for those that don’t want to read all of the below: Is Elemental Shaman really just a rotation between Lava Burst, Elemental Blast, and Primordial Wave? That’s it?

I’ve been playing WoW off-and-on since Legion, but DF is the first time where it’s really clicked for me and become my main game.
Due to really loving the lore of the class, I rolled Shaman and leveled it. As I was leveling, I fell in love with the Lightning side of the Elemental tree (Left side)
It seemed that the other side of the tree had a focus on just pressing Lava Burst as much as possible, so I avoided it. (Seemed boring)

Now that I have my 4-set for this season, it seems like I’m forced to play that style of Elemental Shaman. It forces me to take Elemental Blast and Primordial Wave, so the only logical conclusion is to build for a Lava Burst build.

Is that really my only option this season, or is there a way to focus on a Lightning/Chain Lightning build?

Wellcome to ele the 1 button spec. There are two options, one is just press lava burst, second is reroll other spec/classes.

Basically, yes. Welcome to Season Three Four.

It is nothing but lava burst until TWW. I have traditionally been a fan of meatballs, but these two seasons back-to-back have me wanting the spaghetti back

Lava Burst spam is the only option currently because of the tier set people on the forum voted for. It sucks, a lot. The fire build needs a significant rework because no build should be a 1 button spam spec like that.

remove/redesign the talent below Pwave is the only way.

There is a talent Master of the Elements that encourages weaving a non-fire spell in between Lava Burst casts. I take that in my talent setup because it encourages me to not spam Lava Burst. I like casting Lightning Bolts as well.

And that get ruined by tier set and rolling magma.
