Hi!
I wanted to take this time to write just how much fun I’m having with elemental shaman this expansion.
I LOVE that lightning sounds like lightning again!
I LOVE the way that the spells flow with each other!
I LOVE the way that we use elementals so much!

I love it!
The only two things which currently lack are:
- Earthbind Totem should cast earth coming out of the ground to trap people instead of Entangling Roots (Druid ability). There already exists an ability which elemental shaman use when destroying items that you interact with where they call out brown earth that hits it from all directions.
and
- Re-teach us “Bind Elemental.” It’s a fun spell. Gives me much immersion.
But, regardless…

I wanna like shaman in general.
Enhancement for me felt better in Legion but was undertuned. It wasn’t till the legendaries came with some that made Enhancement better, but community perception was same. (Yes I know you are talking of Ele, just mentioning enh since it’s what I first played extensively).
Ele now feels awkward, and things don’t really have a flow for me.
The visuals are lacking and we still have an outdated lightning visual when other shaman npcs have an updated HD one.
The combat in WoW kinda leaves a lot for me to desire. Ele could be much better, it’s kinda meh for me.
Shamans are just an overall fun class, in both classic and retail
During Cata I was able to solo the first two bosses of Stonecore (to farm for mount) as ele sham thanks to Bind Elemental. It was a key part of me being able to solo the trash at the start.
Also I perosnally wish we had more totems or interaction with totems or something. Maybe I’m in the minority for wanting them but to me it’s such a key part of the shaman flavor/fantasy and was a big reason why I picked it as my first class which remains my main to this day.

Enhance is very fun too imo, even if its not meta usually. Shaman one of the best designed classes all around.

I also really love ele shaman, the spells and visuals for all shaman specs are all amazing and they are all fun specs to play.
I just wish that they would bring back totems more and made them more permanent buffs/effects, updating the shields to be stronger/more interactive and giving us more/more interactive elementals (like why doesn’t resto have a river elemental cooldown).

Elemental is very fun.
My only complaint is I feel echo of the elements should just be baseline.
And ele needs a buff totem since enhance has windfury and resto has mana tide.
Could be wrath of air for a spell damage buff.

I didn’t main Elemental Shaman for SL, but I’ve already started working on it as an alt if I come back from my semi-hiatus in 9.1. I’ve historically mained it the most and it’s always visually appealing and fun to play. It’s what I got AotC/Keystone Master on for BfA S4.
But, uh, current Ele Shaman is just BfA Ele Shaman. They were messing with some changes but then just kind of reverted to BfA.
And that’s fine, but I’m just saying Ele right now is nothing new.
Echo of the Elements should be baseline.
Elemental Blast should be as well. The base rotation is basic enough that adding in a simple button like that won’t hurt anything.

Chain lightning animation enthralls me. I get a blank stare and spam it in ecstacy…“power overwhelming!” Then I am globaled by my opponent, having done no damage.

Elemental has always been my favourite caster.
Great visuals, great feel, overloads are fun, lava burst procs are fun
It’s awesome with the necrolord ability, awesome to throw out 4 lava bursts and have a few of them overload
So happy elemental is doing some good damage rn too!

If I there was a shammy-friendly alliance race I could stand playing, I’d main that class.
Yeah, no great shaman class that just “fits” for alliance.
I would go either dwarf or dark iron dwarf for being connected to the elements I guess. Dark Irons summoned an elemental lord (Rag) so you could play that angle.
Mine is a regular dwarf because Dark Iron didn’t exist yet.

Everyone complaining about Shadowlands and I’m having too much fun with my shaman. I do agree about bind elemental, i even posted about that yesterday.

I agree OP, Elemental spec is hella fun, and it’s one of the reasons I’ve always wanted a human shaman (RP purposes, I love elemental abilities; monks and paladins are tied for second).
My one and only complaint, is that Blizzard has forced the combo of Lava Burst / Fire Shock into way too much of Elemental. I’d love the spec if the three talent branches gave more options to build as lightning combo focused (especially since Mages dominate the Fire and Ice elements 
)

If you think Elemental is fun, may I propose trying out Enhancement?
We’re doing surprisingly good this expansion, and we hit like a truck now. With Doom Winds and Windfury Totem? We’re a proverbial chainsaw of damage.
