This build leans into our mastery, instant casts and focuses on single target. Has been fun and is viable against melee with the lightning shield talent. I’m hoping this will be as fun when the expansion launches.

I dunno, pvp is a lot about burst.
Try this out.
What you do is go in with earth elemental for a boost in survivability.
Flame shock one guy, cast skyfury totem, cast storm keeper, do primordial wave on another, pop ascendance (will do a lava burst on everyone effected by flame shock AND increase lvb dmg by your crit chance).
Now do a lvb to blast more lvb on the people with flame shock. It’ll be instant with the primordial wave proc, blast em with instant powerful lightning bolt, then another instant lvb, then another instant powerful lightning bolt, then lvb, then earth shock and lvb every proc.
It’s really fun once you get the hang of it and in solo shuffle (I know it’s not the best testing ground) I was averaging 9-12k dps at the end of every fight. On target dummy I can burst for 30-40k depending on overloads and crits. Also, earth shock doesn’t seem to be worth it with limited talent points to invest in the overload talent. At least imo.
