Elemental Invasions?

It was never mentioned in the classic phase schedules, they came with the honor system, so is it phase 2 too? Or does it come with phase 3 with darkmoon faire card table

I remember when the “invasions” happened. Mainly appearing in places most people cared very little about. IMHO it is on a level with sandlol.

People care… easy essence farming. Wait and see.

My point was more that they were invading places nobody cared about.

They are Franken-Patching the game so what came out at the same time as the honor system doesn’t really matter.

Knowing Blizzard, when people say they need something new a month after the honor system is out they will release the invasions or something else. That seems to be the MO.

I mean some people care…

I’m curious to know myself, I seem to remember these happening later in Vanilla, or maybe I just didn’t find out about them on my first time though the Vanilla content.

Let me put it this way.
What is the “invasion” of Azshara endangering? What was the “invasion” of Silithus endangering? What was negatively impacted by these “invasions”? What was put at risk? I am trying to cast light on the absurdity of calling them invasions.

They were in the most complete sense, just groups of mobs that spawned in static spots and milled about for a while.

A nod to the (very brief?) spawns in and right outside capital cities. (IIRC)

The naga in azshara might care. It may not endanger players but its endangering someone. Don’t forget the rpg part of mmorpg.

I cannot think of many that were allied with the naga that they would shed tears that elemental mobs appeared and milled about.

It doesn’t matter if no one would shed a tear for them. They care so that’s all that matters.

How do you know they care? Have you spoken with them about it? Have you seen actual conflict between the two parties? Do you know for a fact that the Naga didn’t in fact invite the elementals and are on friendly terms with them?

Seems a bit like some serious attempt at SJW. The Naga do not need you poking your nose into their affairs.

I didn’t. I poked my sword. Im a rogue. I got answers by force.

So you have no evidence that they were in fact “invasions”?

The naga could very well have invited them as entities driven from their ancestral homes.

I do have evidence. Unfortunately the naga who told me so is now dead…

How convenient.

The elemental migrants who were being welcomed as a people fleeing persecution no doubt thank you for your political nation building hijinx.

Quite convenient actually.

You still have not provided evidence that the elementals were anything more than welcomed visitors.
