About to start my 50 Shaman for SL… Seen post aftrer post after post about Enhancement, and very few about Ele… and ones that are on Ele are like 1-2 replies… Should that tell me all I need to know that the spec is in “sucky land” or is it a viable spec through M+10ish ,Heroci raiding and soloing Torghast?
It’s completely viable for all of those things, just isn’t as “controversial” for lack of a better term as enhancement is right now post-overhaul.
It’s fine. Even good. Best part is that gear is almost identical to Resto.
Melee is hard in SL.
Elemental is out performing enh in all pve content rn.

This is just one of those situations where people playing Elemental, myself included, don’t really have much negative to say. It is performing pretty much how we all expected and it didn’t receive an overhaul like enhancement did. It is currently an above average DPS spec in Nathria even without its BIS ST legendary. That means it will not get nerfed but also has a decent amount of potential left in it. It’s also pretty decent in mythic+ from my admittedly lower tier experiences, i have only done a +7 so far but it felt great.
