Not sure what io you are at, but enhancement is the only blue dps that gets into 15+. I’ve sat 3 days from 6:30-10pm since Tuesday and gotten into 0 keys that weren’t my own. Unless you are already established or pushed higher early or have a group, there is nothing. Regardless of where elemental is in numbers, I do well, that doesn’t translate to what they run in meta. Enhance is 2min, can stack 2 ascendance before key start, has better survivability, etc. etc… Not coping, just building out my enhance kit again.

Most/all keys are not timeable with around 1m dps in 12+. At the even higher key levels, 10-20% nerf is enough to straight remove that class from play (Which is mostly what happened), because it’s not possible even with perfect play. Not sure where you are at in io, but the conversation is much different if you are the top .01% of shamans who crush everything and shouldn’t be balanced around.
No doubt. Enhance’s profile is more perfectly tuned/designed for M+. Ele does put up good numbers, but Enhance has a better profile and all the same utility. My comment is more so aimed at people who think the spec is utterly dead in all forms of content. For most players just doing weekly +10 keys, Ele is more than satisfactory and is very much one of the top contenders. But for higher keys its like asking do you want a Lexus or a Lambo? You’re gonna take the Lambo.
I’ve been wondering if Ele would be a better, more desirable pick if they could make 2 min ascendance versus Preeminance to help with that. 3 min Ascendance is fun, but the dry spots hurt sometimes, even if, overall ends up pretty high.
A 5% buff to ST to compensate would be nice. I have no qualms with M+, still having fun there, but raid really does feel awful now.
