Im hearing / seeing that elemental is supposed to be one of the top performers this season yet I am constistantly bottom of the meters in our raids. I dont know what im doing wrong and its becoming really discouraging.
I run Stormbringer. Im following the correct rotation / prio when it comes to skills, I try not to overcap on Maelstrom or Lavabursts, I keep Flameshock up at all times. Etc. I just feel like I am not getting anything from my Mastery at this level. Is it even possible to get the recommended 1200 at this time? Im currently at 41% with 506.
Im currently ILVL 236, Im sure you can click on my armory and see. I try to get as much gear as I can with mastery. All be it, I have not enchanted or gemmed my gear because of how insanely expensive they are. I dont want to waste it on gear that will just get replaced quickly. But I am getting absolutely obliterated on the meters in our Normal Voidspires / Chim runs.

Pretty sure I narrowed it down upon looking at my stats more and my gear. Im actually missing more pieces with Mastery than I thought and sitting at 41%. And only 506 mastery, When its recommended to have 1200. I just dropped 30k to have my belt crafted.
your missing alot of mastery still im at 1200 atm but in all honestly this raid just aint it for us im doing well but compared to basically all other specs ele is in the dumps we are dead last on WCL in the 95th percentile for heroic
Thats how I was feeling. I feel like most of the fights just arent meant for us.
basically for all the fights its bad to pop ascendance on pull cause you wanna use it on add phases or during burn moments like saladbar but atm CDs just dont line up nice.
For voracious or w/e his name is its best to just pump the boss cause its a dps check ya. But aside form that CDs just do not line up well for us or the adds die so fast that we cant make use of our maelstrom etc.
I don’t get it either. I think the AOE is just padding numbers.
Lightning bolt is doing just such DREADFUL damage, I hate having to kill one mob.
People rely too heavily on secondary stat weights. But the difference between mastery and haste for you is a little over a point. Which in terms of performance is very small.
