Yes, that’s the best trait for pvp. That, lasso, and stormkeeper are all Ele has for pvp.

I run IPx3, PSx3, ARx3, and NHx1. Ele is no longer the burst damage it has always been. Dont get me wrong, i can have a burst window depending on azerite traits, spec, and gear. Ele is more sustained damage now though (see top damage from FS), so I feel like PSx3 is a must and with Spirit Wolf and Spectral Ancestry talent combo, I feel like I can stay alive long enough to do that sustained damage.
Yup… I love running flag now. Our damage is pure garbage unless you have a pcket healer and can hide in the back…

1-3 in dmg in all pvp/pve content done. Top non-healer heals in all pvp content done. Require considerable less healing in M+ due to azerite traits/talents than most other classes/specs.
Yeah ele is horrible.
Problem os always the same regardless of the xpac. Ele takes work to be good with.

Top m+ caster by a landslide and 3rd or arguably 2nd best of all classes in raid is bad?

rest is a mix of classes, except, you guessed it… Elemental.
In fact in the top 200 PVPers, you have… 2 elementals.
But let me guess, this isn’t a good judge of class balance in PVP right?
The fact remains that ele damage is very good, and I regularly see them represented in 3s Tourneys as well.

This is content “I” have done. Up until this last patch ele was in an extremely good spot in majority if not all content. Now ele is still extremely good in majority cotent tgough it took a big hit in survivability for players who solo BG and solo WPVP.
We all know that mage/rogue is and will always be meta for arenas. Trolling forums so you can point out your class has an extremely low ceiling and high threshold for mistakes that makes it even easier to play doesnt really prove anything.
Arena is/has been/will continue to be mage/rogue/OPFotMhealer (currently Hpal and rduid, followed by some random mongo brain dead comp of whatever 2 dps is OPFotM paired with OPFotMhealer. Then sprinkle in whatever boomy/ele/lock/spriest comps that can survive whatever meta is followed by whatever gimmicky tank/heal/triple dps that squeaks in.
Arena in its current state is just like RBGs a former shell of itself where it is dominated by the same couple of competing groups who dodge each other while doing carries and trolling other teams who actually are trying.

As far as PVE, I couldnt care less how they are doing, i am only talking PVP and they are in a bad spot after this nerf. Again, your top PVPers are not just arenas, its as a whole and there are NO elementals. This is not my opinion, this is fact. If Ele’s where this great PVP class, you would see more on the boards and in game… You dont. You did start to see them before this last patch but they were still not as prevalent.

Ele isnt easy thats why it isnt on the boards. On top of that every time ele remotely becomes viable in arena its gets nerfed due to it countering the meta and everyone cries.

ELemental isn’t easy… It never was. But there is a difference between being “easy” and being “gimped”. There was no reason to nerf us, period. You take any class and player of equal skill and most would easily beat an elemental. The one thing we had was PS. People say it was OP but was it really? Isnt it OP for a rogue to go invis and heal all the way back up? Isnt it OP for a DK to outheal healers in some cases? Isnt it OP for a pally to have 2 insta lives? (Bubble and LOH). Isnt it OP for locks to have 65k CB’s? Isnt it OP for Druids to have all root breaks and crazy self healing???.. So what did we have? PS… Now we dont. So what do we have that makes us even remotely viable?
Once again. no one is arguing with you about the current state of ele PVP outside of having a pocket healer. What you say is true. Just as what I said when I said it back in APR was in fact true then. Therein lies my issue.
Our damage was crap… That is why people ran PS. We had 2 good things, Lasso and PS… Both got nerfed. But our damage was always poor. We won by slowly killing the other guy WITH PS and Lasso. My original post still applies…
why not continue this “chat” in one of the many recent threads on PS nerf?
