Does anyone know the different damage potential for the various ele m+ builds?
Icey veins suggests the smooth brain build but I’m curious what the damage potential is compared to builds that use primordial wave.

You know, you can use a really cool tool called a simulator to find this exact information.
i would probably always take pwave w/ haste buff talent too – really smooths out damage between asc procs

If you wanted to simplify it though:
Id move around echoes freely – i love playing echoes but i think the key has to be high enough for the mobs to live long enough to feel it.
Dont think you always need LMT since w/ ascendance ull spread all ur flame shocks, but helps w/ the pwave’s in between asc.
I would take earthshock over eb on anything below 12, could switch it pretty freely i think at any level tho, shock makes playing echoes slightly more enjoyable. If ur not playing echoes then i think switching aftershock for surge of power can be fun, but i think aftershock is just better these days specially w/ deeply rooted elements.
I think the capstone that buffs lightning rod is better spent elsewhere unless u really just want free damage

I prefer the 2 min ascendance over the 3 minute version with haste. Pwave gives us plenty of haste with such a short cooldown anyway. I PvP and prefer having it more often. I also use the talent that uses 3sec of flameshock cooldown with each LvB cast. Honestly reapplying FS isn’t a huge problem.
This is PvP perspective though.

I prefer LMT+Pwave for pugs, makes it so that you have some burst every single pack and gives you a healthy amount of Maelstrom to start chucking out EQs for LRs and spending for your next Tempests. With coordinated groups I deff prefer playing Echoes. Big thing I love about Ele this patch since the rework is that you have a bunch of different options for M+.

Is there a way to farm M+8-10 with a more aoe Farseer build, without lightning rods and echoes ?
If it’s like a 10% dps less, think I prefer it. Really not a fan of a tab-targeting each few seconds gameplay.
I love the raid builds and the old fire gameplay.
I agree this just does not feel good but it’s so necessary.
I’ve not played farseeer so I can’t help there.
Farseer is absolutely viable, play what you enjoy. The ST is much better as well and can help groups in lower keys shorten boss fights or kill priority targets that could cause trouble to your group. Unfortunately the ancestors themselves have a mind of their own at times and could potentially pull mobs that you didn’t want pulled so keep that in mind

I like farseer more when you don’t have a priest and aug in group. If you check my recent keys in raider up I have a couple different builds I like to run

where does all the ele/enh shamans get there builds from ? I murlock i.o, has pretty good ele build for m+ but haven’t found decent raid builds…
murlok io, archon gg, warcraftlogs if u go to the top players you will see what are they using (this has to be take with a grain of salt bc they switch a lot between high keys and raid bosses)
