This trinket causes your character to cry every time you log in, not just when you equip it. The equip effect is to weep before the eternals, but seems odd to occur at every login.
According to WoWhead, it’s bugged on everything it does as it doesn’t seem to be buffing the correct stats either.
Yes, this is another issue. I noticed it does buff the correct stat on one character, but not the other. It also temporarily buffs all stats, then equalizes to buff one.
The crying alone would have made me sell it, but the stat jump was too good from what I had already… ugh, I hate choosing the lesser of two evils.
Thankfully it’s only when you log in, haven’t had it happen anywhere else, but I do feel bad for those with the really, really bad crying emotes. Nelf ladies aren’t toooo bad.
Haha I know! My vulpera crying was not very noticeable, I only noticed due to her body language because the sound was not audible. But my blood elf crying is like nails on a chalkboard when I log in lol. She is a fresh 60 hunter and that 265 ilvl primary stat bonus alone is too good to pass up.
IMHO, passive trinks shouldn’t be making noise at all. (On-use or proc, okay, audible feedback can be nice. But “flavor” noise? No thanks.)
That’s not a proper bug report, I acknowledge, because I’m pretty sure the “crying on equip” is intentional. But it’s my opinion.
Anyway, as a workaround, there are addons that can mute specific sounds, so you can mute /cry so at least the annoying instances of crying are silent. (Win if all instance of /cry are annoying to you.)
I agree. I can tolerate it once when I equip it, but every login will be excessive. I imagine that’s not how it should work, either, unless equip effects do that with all trinkets upon login, it’s just not typically obvious it’s doing so when there is no visual or audible indication.
I will look into that muting addon if it becomes excessive (or not changed). Thanks for that suggestion!
Can confirm this; I’ve been having issues with getting Crit on my SPriest when Haste is by far my highest secondary stat outside of Soulletting Ruby.
I’d understand if it gave me Crit during Ruby because Ruby inflates my Crit like crazy, but after it falls off?
Had the same thing happen and was wondering what it was. Not arguing though because currently it is buffing all of my stats at the same time. Good bugs are good.
Blizz pls fix this. It’s creepy af…
This is really disturbing to me. Please stop it from crying on login.
This is still happening…
I just want this to… STOP -.- its driving me mad honestly… I swear the moment I find anything even remotely close in stats I am going to de this stupid trink and get rid of it forever…
I’m a resto druid. I was playing with elegy and changeling as my trinkets. When I allocate mastery increase to changeling and the changeling procs, my elegy increases mastery instead of staying on haste. This doesnt happen when my changeling increases crit nor haste.
Atm im crit: 18, haste: 29, and mastery: 16 before changeling procs for mastery. After changeling proc, when its timer ends, i get 18, 26, 18.
Elegy is based off the raw number isn’t it? So it will switch to whatever number is highest. If changeling procs make your mastery raw number higher than your haste then it would switch. I could be wrong there.
