Ele or Enh for soloing WQs

Which spec is best for general BFA soloing? I’m pure resto right now just healing TW because I’m sick of questing in BFA.

ele. infinite tag with frost shock, kite, empowered earth elemental.

I like to use enhancement, doesn’t have the best AoE, but its single target is pretty decent.

I went ENH. It’s been okay. Not great. But ok.

Greater Earth Elemental makes grabbing things super easy or just running past mobs without a care. The trick is summon the Greater Earth Elemental then put it on passive, whatever you walk near will be hit by its AOE aggro pulse taking them off you. If you want to leave the mobs in your dust, put it on Move To a spot and ghost wolf away; if you want to pulverize them put it off Passive back to Assist then Chain Lightning + Earthquake the crap out of them. Tag Flame Shock as often as possible for instant Lava Bursts.

Any spec is ideal to solo world quests. World quests are about as easy-mode as you can get.

I do have many classes at 120. Warlock, paladin, warrior, hunter, demon hunter and rogue.

Do you all hate shaman so much? I get they’re not the greatest solo class and enh is near the bottom according to warcraftlogs. But do you guys not find shaman fun at all?

Shadow priest is the top DPS spec but is not the best class to do world content, warcraftlogs evaluates performance in raids not for solo content.

Thematically I think Shaman’s are really cool, Enhance being my favorite in terms of animations, combat effects, etc. But we’re Shamans, and there’s something always wrong with us… unless you’re Resto :stuck_out_tongue:

People assume that Shamans are always the class that has never got a real break since Vanilla and seem to get nerfed even when they’re at the bottom of the ladder…

…which has unfortunately been true most times :frowning:

you can tag with lightning bolt as enh though… no cooldown, 40 yard range, no cast time, and no resource cost so its spammable

I enjoy Ele because the class design and fantasy feels the same even after the Prune, seem to have a million buttons to always press.

And their AOE potential is redonk.

I can’t speak for Elemental, but I enjoy Enhancement.

I don’t have a particularly high ilvl and can still solo pretty much everything. My survivability seems OK too, even in War Mode. In a one on one capacity at least.

As far as dealing with the Elite mob World Quests I personally would choose the Elemental specialization with the Primal Elementalist talent chosen.

The haters are gonna hate but imo, Enhancement 100%. I find I can kill packs of trash mobs way faster as ENH and Feral Lunge is helpful for moving from pack to pack.

Also its just more fun imho.
