I much prefer Ele when the Lava surge proc rate scales faster with multiple flame shocks.
I understand we are moving away from the LvB spam builds of DF. However those were mostly enabled by DRE (now changed), tier set (gone), Skybreakers talent (just removed), etc.
In BfA (before these talents) the lava surge rate was much better, scaled in AoE, but did not dominate the rotation.
With the 11.0.5 changes I think there is room to turn up the proc rate on surge a little bit. The spec won’t fall into LvB spam anymore.
It’s great for PvP, and follows the shaman theme shared with Enh where your resources/procs scale with target count. This seems like a central design pillar of DPS Shaman that was lost for Ele with TWW.
