LFR is where you take your alts to get renown quickly. It’s not an actual thing.
And Normal and Heroic as well also. Technically Mythic is the way the raid was intended to be experienced as it has all the mechanics. If you can’t do that you don’t deserve the loot or the achievements.
Can run and fully clear it on Normal day 1 (which is only marginally harder), just saying.
I don’t recall ever doing a full clear of Castle Nathria on LFR mode, LFR just isn’t something I do anymore, I find normal modes have become easy enough to not need to do LFR…
But the problem with that, is that it left the skill/gear gap between Normal and Heroic too wide last patch in my opinion, unless you liked mythic+ it just wasn’t worth it.
There used to be no delay at all. But when they added the determination buff in Throne of Thunder, they also started delaying the wing releases.
It’s to mimic a sense of progression. For raid teams, clearing the raid takes time. A raid is supposed to last weeks or months, not be cleared in a single day.
When they added determination, they made it so everybody was guaranteed to clear the entire thing within an hour or two. So the same patch they added determination, they also started delaying the wing rollouts.
Basically, since the fights themselves no longer take time to work through, Blizzard must fall back on using the calendar to do that, instead.
Did the 9.0 LFR ever fully open up? lol
Blame Durumu for the existence of that buff.
Legit had to 3man it from 50% once.
The 2 month wait has been the standard for LFR since Legion I think. I honestly don’t remember the MoP or WoD LFR release schedule.
Staggering the release does help queue times though, initially.
Yep, the hivemind LFR says that all the time
Meanwhile guilds are clearing Normal and/or Heroic week 1. Those players never complain about a lack of things to do, right?
Your elitist troll shtick is getting a bit stale, you need new material.
Do they in wow? No. Mythic raiders in their leet gear who have been playing for years and already have heroic on farm don’t count. They aren’t the target demographic for LFR.
People who do LFR in a group for which it is the right difficulty have no raid leader to help them learn. For them it is progress.
Those are the real raiders complaining that they beat the game and deserve more of the most expensive content.
Nope. It’s not. That’s you and your ilk.
Translation: “Those people are so stupid that they’d declare they beat the game and unsub if we let LFR open at the same time as normal. But if we make them wait 8 weeks for the last wing of LFR to open, they’ll stay subbed forever!”
You can do better than that old copy paste lie. I get tired of reading elite players on the forum complaining they want something that is so hard only a team of crack elites can kill it. And they want exclusive bling, lots of free welfare stuff for one-shotting that mob.
where did i say unsub?
i’m saying that if all you care about is watching the cinematics right away and you can’t or won’t run normal for whatever reason, youtube is a good solution
It’s always been staggered in its release.
Yes, Blizzard!
It’s always been stupid too.
Correct, because week 1 clears tend to be their non-progression difficulty. A Mythic team will clear Heroic & Normal the first week, but it’s a non-issue because they spend the rest of the tier on their primary difficult, which is mythic.
Likewise, a Heroic team will easily clear Normal the first week, but spend the tier working on Heroic.
This is what happens when you decide to participate only in content that falls over for you.
Want to see it faster? Join a normal run. Don’t want to? Wait.
You think normal mode preparation requires playing WoW 2-5 hours a day?
Yikes.
I will NEVER understand why so many people who don’t use LFR care that it exists, or why they care whether I run LFR or normal or heroic or what.
You raid what you raid, I’ll raid what I raid.
We are gonna have 2 more years of this garbage of a expansion.
What’s your hurry?
I keep saying remove LFR, have a mode where you and other important lore characters go in and do the raid (sorta like FFXIV’s trust system but with LFR dumbed down mechanics) and have it drop no gear but complete the final raid quest to kill X boss. (At the end maybe it drops a piece of catch up gear ie Korthia gear).
This way everyone can see the raid, gear/ilvl bloat is reduced and no more complaints about LFR.
No, I looked it up, there was always a delay, but it used to be only a week
Im still dancing
So… basically like every other patch?
You’ll get over it…
