Effort Vs Reward Classes

… all 3 rogue specs can do that at this point.

…Doesnt penalize us either.

…Outside of Deathstalker we dont either. And DS is for single target. If theres priority adds you already want a tree that lets you cleave.

Always been that way. Pretty sure its meant to be the easiest spec in the game.

Comparing any spec to BM hunter is futile.

You lost me when you said movement doesn’t penalize us, I can’t have a conversation with you because of that lol.

It’s also not a comparison, it’s a contrast, bit of a difference there. Also taking Caustic Spatter isn’t the same as what BM can do, but okay… You split the hairs really good.

Yes, no duh, I’m trying to make a point, it’s flying directly over your head I guess.

It doesn’t though. Unless you specifically meant downtime and having to run out of melee then yeah fair enough it’s overly punishing.

Even then, rogue has the fastest movement out of all the classes when it comes to getting out of range and back in least til 11.0.5. Just shadowstep to anyone safe. Shadowstep/grapple back

Ironic…

Wtf else would I be talking about? Wtf.

Yes, very ironic on your part.

Yeah, when that’s feasible. Agreed.
*stupidly often and/or for long amounts of time I should say.
Last boss of Wake can feel like a slog as KiR…

alot of times I find having to move out of a boss mech, im already crackshotting. with abit of luck from ace resets its almost like not moving out, only thing missing out were the melee hits. Even if no resets, usually broadside is up playing kir you can still effectively build with pistol shot and fish for more ace bte resets.

Also on assass a few seconds of downtime does not hurt at all unless it is during your cds.

Moving while DPSing… y’know, seeing as you weren’t very specific.

Honestly target switching hurts more than having to move out to avoid boss mechanics. My biggest dps drops are when I have to burn adds as dps from Assassin is about dropping big envenoms on already dotted up targets.

yea thats a hard part about assass. to max opener you do need to put your dots on new targets even tho it does smart cast spread. then you need to retarget the mob with DS mark. You need a really clean nameplate ui to do it. But the good thing is you do have some control over who to put mark on after your first ambush of the dungeon. Stealth is not even required.

Yeah BM has always been this way in PVE and PVP.

BM currently has one of the weakest aoe damage in the game right now.

But its single target is very strong.

This is a bit off topic but don’t we need to Ambush from stealth to apply garrote/ rupture to maintain energy? Otherwise we won’t have enough energy to cycle through to Darknest Night again right?

you only really need to ambush at the start of a fight or dungeon, if you don’t have darknest night buff already running. Part of the gameplay is to make sure you use this to re-apply mark without letting it drop off. This allows you to do the normal garrote opener without ambushing.

The way the mark works is it will keep cycling between marking a target and darknest night buff. After consuming 3 marks or if the target dies, you will get the darknest night buff for 30 seconds and it will make your next max cp envenom apply 3 more mark again. Then as the 3 marks get consumed or the target dies, you get the darkest night buff again so the cycle repeats.

Obviously if at any point darkest night falls off, you’d need to ambush again to apply a new mark to start the cycle once more.
