there was a small update and before the update i could move the HUD tooltip however after the update the HUD tooltip doesn’t show even when i click on the block to show the HUD tooltip box on edit mode.
not only that but when i hover my mouse over NPC or abilities or Creatures and such the HUD tooltip just shows as a empty box it only shows the info on a few things but most things is just a empty message.
it might have gotten corrupted. You could try a full UI reset (not a reload) .
If it works, you can just put your old Interface and WTF folders back (Cache folder usually doesn’t matter, WTF holds your settings, and Interface holds your addons). If it breaks again, it might be one of your addons.
I am having the same problem. It is very frustrating. No information is being shown for the tooltips. No way to change it in any settings or in the UI edit mode. Just keep getting the black box all over my screen whenever my mouse hovers over something. Won’t even show information for any of my attacks or anything. Only thing it seems to show is the names of shops.

i was able to fix the problem
yes, it most likely was i found out it wasn’t saving the edits i did on my UI very well.
i had to go to the Battle.net desktop and repair the game after that i just deleted the Old edited UI files i had and started fresh.
If anyone is still having issues, I found that if you reset the Tooltip to the default location, it worked for me.
