The Nerubians are awesome.
I like how they’re not above using morally dubious tactics to succeed against their corrupt queen. I feel compelled by all three main characters that you can earn reputation with and I had fun doing all the side questlines in AK.
This feels like a Warcraft faction, it is Wotlk tier in my opinion.

Contrast them with the boring kumbaya centaurs in Dragonflight, or most of Blizzards writing lately which feels like goofy fan fiction.
Even in TWW the Earthen are way too humanized compared to how they were in Wotlk and other previous iterations of the game.
The Arathi are supposed to be Vanilla Scarlet Crusade tier zealots but they have zero edge and I think people like the idea of them and their style and architecture far more than their actual implementation.

The Klaxxi were boring as hell, mostly because every single character had a bland nothing personality. That is not the case with the Nerubians. And also the Klaxxi were just trying to straight up battle, they weren’t doing these extensive infiltrations, plots, and subterfuges.

I wonder when “edgy” stopped meaning “sits brooding in the corner in a dark cloak saying nothing but grunts and vague threats for even daring to talk to hi- wait where are you going ask me about my cool backstory!” and starting meaning literally anything that’s just morally gray
