This issue will fix itself in phase 6 when we get hungerying cold. Sucks that we have to wait that long though. There are plenty of edgemasters coming into the game from people doing mara boosting. The issue is players hording the item and trying to sell it at a inflated price.

Disabling the mechanic is not the right solution. They just need to create more spawn points for the gloves. Duh.

It’s hyper inflated by gold farming Mara boosters. I mean, there’s no reason for it to be this expensive. Everyone boasts it to min/maxers as required if you aren’t a human warrior. Maybe increase the drop rate drastically to flood the market a bit more? Kinda like black lotus, it’s a problem.

You are half right. Mara boosting is hard to do. ZG boosting is mongoloid level easy and also the highest gold per hour. If you took out the bridge exploit and made ZG farm skill based it would have solved a lot of these issues.
I mean, if blizzard wants to see some insane profit they could just sell the gloves on the in game store for $150 USD and watch people open their wallet. For an item.

This is how I know you’ve never tried it.
Mara is WAY easier with mobs hitting like wet noodles and providing infinite mana and never bugging out/refusing to change direction. Mara pulls only get hard when you try to pull mobs with Thrash… which only a few have and you dont need to pull.
You can make dozens of mistakes with mara pulls and do just fine. In ZG you make one mistake you die.

Had 0 Pserver experience, havent played since vanilla, remember nothing, and now guilds requiring this to get gear over others seems a bit unfair. Ignore the guild tag also, this char is inactive and my main is on a diff server

Did you play TBC? on Alliance we forced tank to reroll or no raid spot. ahhh good times.
This is the real casualty in the increased BLOTUS spawn rate. Casual players might be expected to flask since its so much more accessible. Right now, Im sure there are guilds that REQUIRE world buffs already, and those are already rather restricted (cooldowns and a quest item)

Humans that want to use daggers or axes want Edgemasters, too.

Axes are bad and daggers not needed just helpful.
Edgemasters is a huge problem for the warrior class specifically.
Basically, due to their price ranging from 4000g to 8000g depending on the server (there may be some lower), many guilds are requiring Edgemasters for non-Orcs/non-Humans to receive the best one handers, otherwise you’re just permanently at the back of the line to those races or other people that got Edgemasters for cheap 6-8 months ago.
I’ve been trying to farm a pair (killed around 5000-6000 level 48-52 mobs), and it’s just rough going.
Fortunately, I’m horde and have a BRE, which will tide me over for a while still, but it sucks that this singular item is basically required for a lot of warriors (non-Orcs/non-Humans) to receive the top raid one-handers like Crul or CTS.
Except the best weapons in late game are swords
