Casual player here but i manage to get my hands on edgemasters handguards been reading up the importance behind it but still kind of confuse.
So my question is if I am fighting a lvl 60 elite mob and have 6% hit chance on my gear already, would I still need edgemaster’s or would i benefit more on other gloves with stats.
Having edgemasters does it only benefit fighting mobs and bosses above 60+?
Just wanna know cause im a fury prot atm and seeing if it is worth it to craft stronghold gauntlets for just normal 5 man dungeons and trash mobs in UBRS and the upcoming ZG.

The + Weapon skill on Edgemaster’s equates to roughly 3% hit. As a fury warrior without a weapon skill racial you want 9% hit (9% is the bare minimum for Yellow hits to not miss). Your white hits will still miss often (unless you know how to HS queue). So you will want 6% from gear and 3% from Edgemaster’s. But the most important part of weapon skill is that it reduces the chance of getting glancing blows against higher level mobs and increases the damage you do to lower level mobs.
As far as Edgemaster’s vs Stronghold Gauntlets, Edgmasters for threat if you don’t have the hit cap without them, and Stronghold for mitigation and disarm immunity if you can get the hit cap without Edgemaster’s.

For level 60 enemies you need 5% hit and don’t glance, for 63+ enemies you need 9% hit and can glance so edgemasters take effect. 61-62 enemies are 6% hit or 5% at 305 or 310 weapon skill respectively. I’m not sure if you can glance 61-62

Ok so for example if I were to run UBRS or ZG it be more beneficial to have gloves with nice stats on vs edgemasters if I am fighting lvl 60 elite mobs (assuming I already have 6% hit already) ?
And when I am fighting mobs lvl 61+ or bosses thats when i switch over to edgemasters which I can really benefit from the stats.
Yes. Most of the benefits of edgemasters do not exist for equal and lower level monsters.
If the target’s defense skill and level are not higher than yours, the benefits of weapon skill are very marginal.
Use a regular stat glove whenever you aren’t fighting very high level enemies. (I.e. raid stuff)
