Ever since the the addition of Warmode, its been said that ED will share the world with other realms ONLY when you are in BFA zones. This sucks heavily because since the addition of WM, Goldshire has been utterly dead both on WM on and OFF even at 'peak' times like now (6pm realmtime).
I really miss having people to duel, horde attacking the place and such.. WM has been a terrible addition that further splits people and the way we group. To preserve what little "RP" even takes place on the realm, i wouldn't want it to shard for non WM, but damn... the world is utterly empty with WM on. Zones have 0-2 players at best. Forced to hang out in BFA zones if you want to even find someone to chat with.
Im finding it hard to believe a 'Full' pop server has an empty goldshire. :(
Better yet, invest $7 on server updates and turn sharding off. There's no reason that a MMO in 2018 shouldn't allow you to be in the same place as other people on your server.
Not sure why people would hang out there, when boralus has dueling and action.11/01/2018 03:40 PMPosted by MykrodeIm finding it hard to believe a 'Full' pop server has an empty goldshire. :(
Sharding is BS period. Blizzard should of kept their word and left RP servers where you see each other with or without warmode as ion said in one of his interviews. As well, we have open RP events almost daily on alliance with usually attendance between 20-40 people, not sure what is little about that?11/01/2018 03:40 PMPosted by MykrodeTo preserve what little "RP" even takes place on the realm, i wouldn't want it to shard for non WM, but damn... the world is utterly empty with WM on
Completely agree, they should of never removed our server distinction, but it is just "the Man" trying to destroy RP communities.11/01/2018 03:40 PMPosted by MykrodeWM has been a terrible addition that further splits people and the way we group.
I hear MG has an active goldshire…

The initial point would be to populate non BFA zones for WM on. Telling Blizz to take away sharding is one thing they likely wont do. But ever since the server distinction from Normal/PVP/RPPVP got dropped, Emerald Dream is dead.
End of Legion, the Horde would actively attack GS once a week. There was always people sitting around waiting for ques to pop, chat with, duel, etc.. Felt somewhat alive. Zones too would have people leveling and such since our world was shared with other PVP realms. Now its totally flushed while other servers have populated zones. Having WM on while leveling pretty much just gives the 10% increase with no danger as you have a zone to yourself.
The server says "Full" but I find it hard to believe at peak times every single player online is in BFA zones. Even during Legion, I had herb competition in oldworld Cata zones. Its just dead now.

End of expansions are always like that. There's content to do (sort of). People are gearing alts, leveling alts, gearing mains, doing world quests, queing arena etc.
I've also heard a lot of time Alliance are preferring to turn warmode off versus having it on, can't say if true or not just what I hear.
I think its true cause when i turn it off for an event that requires it i see triple the people11/05/2018 03:02 PMPosted by Cari11/04/2018 10:32 PMPosted by MykrodeEnd of Legion, the Horde would actively attack GS once a week. But still wpvp is lucritive in kul/zan compared to gs. Loot bags, wardrops dont happen in elwynn
was on my druid the other nite and my horde senses tingled... so I went out to GS and sure enough two horde were trying to pick on a mage... flew down and had a nice 2v2... unfortunately they escaped after not being able to kill me or the mage and the horde druid started running out of cd's... but it was fun...
