Is it intended to be able to get a Curious Slateback duplicate drop from the cache AFTER you already learned the mount prior to acquiring the cache?
Looted and learned the mount last week, then got the mount again on the same character this week.

This sounds pretty unintended for the mount, since it isn’t sellable. I could see duplicates of the pets being allowed because they can be sold. Pretty big waste to get the mount duplicated since we only get one drop from the box per week across the warband.
With 13 rewards (12 pets, 1 mount) tied to this Weekly Quest, I would CERTAINLY HOPE that duplicates are not a thing they would have allowed to happen. Wowhead has confirmed otherwise. Pets/mount can drop repeatedly.
This will be a loooooooooong grind (doesn’t matter if you buy the pets - it won’t improve your odds of missing collectibles). Very unfortunate it was set up this way with so many variables in your weekly cache roll. This adds yet another task to your weekly todo list nearly 3months post-patch if you get even 1 or 2 dupes - wouldn’t be so bad if secondary rewards were still sought after in said cache, but… not so here.
Don’t add 13 rewards to a WEEKLY cache with DUPLICATE reward chances that CANNOT be done on Alts for additional chances at the very least… That’s a demotivating reward design.
