Why do I have 0 of these? I don’t see it show up in my currency tab and I don’t see any in my bags. I’ve been doing assaults, visions, the raid, pvp, mythics, etc so I Should have some. Is it because I only have a single 120? WTF!?

Yeah Blizzard is screwing those of us over that didnt hop from Fotm to Fotm and focused solely on one toon throughout this god awful expansion.

You only earn them upon level 120 characters who are lacking a level 3+ essence that have been unlock by another character on the account. So if you don’t have any alts, you are out of luck for now. Or if like me, your main had all the level 3 essences you have on your alts, you wouldn’t have earned any either.

Be careful some softies on here might flag your post for that edited F word, they did the same to me in another post related to echoes.
I literally just spent 10 Vessels to go from 8-12 on my cloak so QQ.
Yeah…this mage has 0 because I got all my rank 3’s on it. None of my alts got essences that this mage didn’t already have. Thus this mage has never got any echos…
Makes me a little annoyed that i’m starting at 0 going into this while some people (my alts included) have a crap load of echos that they’re just sitting on.

OMG so you came late to the party and just expect everything is given to you. Hows about earning the rank 3 essences like we all did then your alts can enjoy the bounty
You don’t need any echoes if you only have 1 character. They’re literally only there to make it easier for your alts to get essences you’ve already earned. They have to be earned before you can buy them with echoes on any character.
It doesn’t look like you have any Rank 3 essences on your forum toon, not sure how it is for your others.
Your “Main” that has Rank 3 essences allows your alts you gain the currency Echoes of Ny’Alotha to buy those Rank 3 essences from MOTHER.
Anyone who has read the forums about this change and then runs their visions tonight is literally wasting currency.

My main has been my main since before 8.3, I have no Nya currency on them either, I also have all but two rank 3 essences (missing 2 of the PVP ones). It’s not about “OMG I only just started where is my currency”, but more of an issue that if you played the game how they wanted you to, you end up going into this change behind.
Whereas some players who jump from character to character would most likely have tons of currency, even those who changed mains in 8.3 would be in a better situation than those who mained before 8.3.
Not with the new change just announced. Anyone who completed their essences on a “main” and was unable to earn echoes is out of luck because corruption effects for your gear is now purchasable with echoes.
There are people with 30k+ echoes who will be able to purchase two rank 3 corruptions the day this change goes live. Those who played the game and completed their essences are shafted with 0.
Made worse that the corruptions are purchasable on a rotating basis so if your best corruption is available week 1 you may not be able to purchase it again for upwards of a month+.
The gearing process for Alts is a so easy it is a joke. There has been no other time in the history of WoW were you could earn raid caliber gear from trivial activities.
Ya because you not playing more than 1 character is a flavor of the month thing…

So many lame, off topic replies. This has nothing to do with how many classes you play or how many times you switch mains.
Blizzard is finally adding a way to get the corruption your character needs, which is a good thing, but far too late.
The issue with the currency is that if you actually PLAY the game and got the essences as they came out, like I’m sure a lot of us did - you are now at a disadvantage. With so many useless currencies in this patch, I just don’t understand why they wouldn’t just add another one.
It feels really bad to do everything in my power to better my character for an entire expansion only to then have that put me at a disadvantage…
