This absolutely needs a hotfix
So can I start to grind right now? At retail?
Slowly you can grind
Only if you preorder. Yes.
This quest is garbage. The bee mount grind was better.
I just did this quest, and it only took me a couple of hours.
I just finished farming my echos and received my transmog set. It’s cool.
They should scrap this quest and just give it to you.
I just requested a refund because of this quest, if i pay for something that is listed under the whats included it is expected to be given not earned. I understand why people don’t mind but to me it was just false advertisement and a bad grind quest at that. If i wanted to grind i would go BoE farming or mount farming, much less paying $20 on top of the $12 i already pay monthly.
It’s not much different then when they added the first set of AR as a preorder bonus. You weren’t handed them either.
Would have been cooler if they didn’t tell us about it and kept it a secret for people to find.
“They don’t owe you anything just because you paid for it”…
Sorry to say, but I really don’t think you have any grounds for a refund here. There was no false advertising involved here as the item is listed on the pre-order page as being unlocked through a quest given via the mount. Just because you didn’t like the quest doesn’t mean you have any grounds to call false advertising. If they had used the words, “a quick and easy quest” or even “a fun quest” then I could see you having a leg to stand on but otherwise I’m afraid I cannot agree with this mindset.
Don’t misunderstand, I think the drop rate is too low, I really want the transmog too. I however do agree with the original idea behind this post, that there is some merit to the idea of a quest that one can passively complete as they play the game regularly, it reminds me of the one Scholozar Basin quest in Northrend where you have to race to kill 60 (or some big number) animals, but you do so whilst hunting specific animals for Hemet, collecting fruits and reeds from croc infested water, and just generally questing in the zone.
Anyway that’s my 2 cents on the matter, I wish you good hunting when it comes to those echoes, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Blizzard “fix” the drop rate here soon.
When people pay an extra $20 for a reward, that’s their “work” and yes, it should be handed to them after a short lore quest and not a long grind.
Yes they do. That item was specifically paid for. This isn’t simply access to the game, it’s $20 for specific items.
It said “quest,” not “spend hours/days/weeks grinding for something you specifically paid for.”
Exactly this.
Dude could you please tell me how or where did you farm those things ?
And I did several hours yesterday and again this morning and I’ve been stuck at 6. This is the problem people are complaining about. There are a few people strutting around done going “Oh no big deal just do the quest lol” but for everyone else the droprate is abysmally low and needs a hotfix immediately.
I have 4. I gave up.
I got 4 from H EP last night. I slaughtered dozens of mobs this morning and got 1. I now have 5… What pisses me off is you have to be 120 to get the quest. I was hoping to do the quest while leveling my warlock from 110 to 120.
Got one from Honored Freehold this morning… Been farming for 3 hours today and 4 hours yesterday. I have a total of 9… This is why WoW sucks now.
Its a transmog… Not a freaking legendary. C’mon!
Yeah drop rate sucks, I have 8 and then it pretty much stopped haven’t got one in a few hours so gave up for now.
Took me roughly 4 hours of non-stop Freehold farming on Normal to complete the set. Not my most enjoyable farm by far.
It also doesn’t appear to work on the forums, but if you hover over my items in my profile you can see I have it transmogged.
I worked with a group to farm the Blood Trolls at the Blood Gate in Zuldazar (north of the map, leads into Nazmir). The drop late was really low, but it still only took me a couple of hours.
There’s a ton of enemy trolls in the area for you to kill. The only issue with the spot is that the other faction might come over and steal tags for their grinding.
