Echo = Hit or Miss?

I don’t have the issue.

I really like echo it’s a clever yet powerful little spell.

Fluttering Seedlings does not consume echo. However, Emerald Sprouts (including the free ones you get from Field of Dreams talent) does.

I haven’t had any issues with Echo duplicating spells. If you run the Orobouros talent, Echo itself can be a substantial heal too. Point of reference: I’ve had ECHO’s instant heal upon application crit for 40-50% of someone’s HP on beta before it duplicated my next healing spell, lol.

I’m pretty sure most echo failures are caused by field of dreams procs. Or alternately just by regular living flames/emerald blossom casts that are followed by a queued up echo which ends up landing first due to lack of travel/growth time.

Both cases are pretty annoying tbh. I would indeed prefer if echo procced only on casts performed after the echo itself was applied.

Echo should never be consumed by procs, that like defeats the whole purpose of the spell and is really silly.

However I disagree about the 2nd case with living flames midflight eating it being bad. Being able to echo queue to double a living flame heal going out when you realize a bigger heal is needed midcast is really nice and much needed crutch for sometimes lackluster single target healing. I think that interaction is really fun and useful, and not hard to play around when you don’t want it.
