Easy ways to buff monk tank, no excuses blizzard

The title is just clickbait ignore its tone.

I am posting this in General because I feel like it will largely be ignored if I post it in the monk channel. The point of this is not to debate if you feel like Monk SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT be buffed. It is viable in all content but not good. Proof of this can be found in multiple sources but the most compelling of these is its lack of representation in all data at all levels, especially at the highest levels.

The point of this post is to point out some options that should be considered for monk that would take them from Viable to Good. With that out of the way, let’s get started.

I would be okay with any of these and feel like it would help all the issues monk tanks have. So whichever one is easier to implement I am okay with. I’ll take any of these.

Stagger
For most tanks the damage mitigated is actually mitigated and not turned into a dot. You can keep the stagger bar and reduce or remove the dot. That would be just adjusting a few numbers in the stagger code.

Parry
I may be wrong about this, but I believe Monk used to have parry in mop ect. if I am wrong, I am wrong, I did not look. If I am not wrong that script already exists and just needs to be updated for the current game. Access to more than 3% parry would help a lot on big pulls.

Dodge
Nothing is wrong with Dodge. The problem is so many things cannot be dodged. If you could make all non-boss mechanics and non-boss tank busters dodge enabled this would go a long way. It’s literally an existing script you would add to all non-bosses.

Armor
Monks have about half the armor of the other tanks if we could have an armor buff all you have to do is insert a multiplier.

None of this is hard to do and no one is asking for all of these. Pick ONE spend the hour it would take to do it (yes I realize that is an exaggeration and we love you guys on the dev team. I don’t mean any of this as an attack) and then test it. Problem gone. BrM Monks happy. Just saying…
