Easy solution to login queues

Three account tiers.

Regular account $15/month take your place in the queue.

Preferred account $30/month and you get bumped to the top of the login queue.

Premium account $45/month and you bypass the queue completely.

Preferred and Premium accounts would also get a 10% and 20% XP bonuse respectively so they can get out of the starting zones faster and get ahead of the crowd.

We’ve reached a sad point in gaming where a post like this can either be satire or serious. The fact that I can’t tell pains me.

I don’t think Halliday will go for it, Nolan.

I have an even better idea, and cheaper. find a lower pop server without queue’s.

This is a good idea - at first.
Queues are only really present at the beginning of larger events, afterwards those with higher paid accounts essentially pay for nothing once the queues vanish.

In regards to that XP bonus, homie retail was pay to win and look where that went.
Don’t need to start messing with Classic.

These would also be the accounts 1st to cancel subs as they burned through the content at break neck speeds and “beat” the game before the majority of players have entered endgame

Speaking as somebody who can afford to pay the $45/month…

No

Or… OR… don’t all flood a handful of servers and be put in these situations

I like the tiers but I don’t like the XP rate increase. What about if it was an increase to the gold loot rate instead?

This all looks fine to me, where do I sign up?

Oh, no no no… make it a macrotransaction so people can use it when they want it. BUT, you can’t counter the physics of the possibility that there could always be a queue for some reason. Soooo, use some of that Blizzard math and make it where $45 gives you an 85% chance to avoid the queue (whether there is one or not), which means 60% of the time you’d be in queue  This is Diablo math btw

How about a button on the queue dialog that lets you pay to skip it. $5 every time.

That would incentivize Blizzard a little too strongly to encourage queuing.

How so? A large number of people want to level as quickly as possible so they can get to raiding and arena, which is the real endgame. Leveling is just something most people slog through to get to the real content.

How is this satire? It is a very viable solution.

It’s funny that this got immediately flagged for “trolling” when this is a perfectly legitimate suggestion. Falsely flagging post just because you disagree with the concept should be bannable. At least it got unflagged though.

If only they had a technology to accommodate larger numbers of players without having to have long queues. I think it should be called sharding or layering maybe.

Retail is that way —>

(Joking… )

I mean, leveling is fun once but afterwards is just complete repitition of boring, solo only content.
