Easy fix to make WOTLK heroic dungeons fun

Which is part of why the dungeon finder should not be removed.

Speaking of making the heroics fun, the most fun I’ve ever had in this game was speedrunning them as a geared tank with my healer friend. Without the dungeon finder, a large part of my incentive to play my favorite expansion in the game’s history is lost.

i’d say buff the health and damage by 100% each phase.

the problem was we were spoiled with piss easy heroic dungeons on LK. If the dungeons would have kept going like in tbc heroics to wrath to cata there wouldn’t have been an issue. People complained because they didn’t know better.

naw people will do them still because if they don’t they will be left behind. People don’t like being behind. They will do them like it or not, at least until they have everything they need from badges.

Maybe you should just go and play Everquest instead?

Dungeons should not ever be soloable as current content. This is bad game design.

Dungeons are intended for cooperative gameplay. Outdoor questing is (usually) intended for solo play—keep dungeons meaningful by not killing all forms of cooperation and challenge.

But they’re not I mean if you’re talking about the farm for XP and oop guard keep OK fine but you’re not even killing bosses on that.

It’s not like you can solo farm heroics even if you have sunwell gear and a mage with pathine you still aren’t gonna be able to do enough damage to solo farm something like shadow labs heroic it’s only going to be normal.

And with the fixes that they’re doing that’s not going to be worth it anyway The way I see it if you can kill trash on your own that’s completely fine you’re not killing the bosses on your own you’re not getting loot It’s fine

Like every dungeons in WoW.

You’re right about scaling power but when you’re demolishing the content from start you won’t feel like you’ve progressed.

I can be perfectly content with my gear scaling in dungeons even if they aren’t ridiculously difficult at the start.

Also the people that are clearing these dungeons without any effort are also the same people that have literally spent years doing this, probably all had sunwell gear walking into the dungeons (Which most of which holds up until naxx) and probably spend more time on the game in one day than many people spend in a week.

Buffing dungeons because the sweatlords can clear it in record time, is a ridiculous notion.

Did we buff sunwell because in 4 hours it was cleared when released in TBCC? Despite still being one of the hardest raids ever? No?

Why would we not do that that to content that is just super end game that isn’t mandatory, but then turn around and do it to content everyones basically expected to have to go through?

Leave heroics alone.

Ah yes, another post made by some rando who wants classic to be as challenging as they remember it being back in prehistoric times with no argument other than “me want hard game, me want challenge, wow are betturs when hardcore bcuz i r hardcur gam0r and want to feel hardcur once agaen so everyone shud play the way me want bcuz i r so supir hardcur”
With the good ol’ 1 button rotation spam and ocasionally moving out of harm’s way because that was totally a challenge back then.

This. It was a pretty rude awakening for those of us who were very happy with the direction Cataclysm went to find a lot of people quitting to go play some solo questing game (Skyrim) because dungeons had interesting mechanics and the game was fun again.

So what’s your argument or position on the matter?

Let people play the way they want.
This caveman wants everyone to deal with a 500% dmg buff on heroics? I say no.
Some troglodyte wants heroics to be even easier? I say no.
I’d just give players the choice to make the game as difficult as they want it to be. How? Adding the option to modify dmg, enemy health, even resistances and not just “hErOiC aNd NoRmAL” but letting players increase the difficulty the way they want.
They want the enemies to hit like nuclear warhead but to die as fast as they normally would in a heroic setting? Let them do that.
Want them to have absurd HP while dealing regular dmg? Let em’ have it.
I’ll just add in a little loot modifier for when the party kills the extra difficult bosses with idk, extra badges to reward them for going the extra mile.

Yeah, but this is being done by players in previous end game gear. Some warlock in full bis/naxx gear decided to solo SP to level up to 70 because they didn’t want to quest. They also wanted to be challenged in their own way. When you see stuff like that on stream, of course people are going to start doing stuff like that.

But this also brings up that back in the day, we the players were just bad and didn’t have the technology we have today. So how can this be fixed or addressed? I’m pretty sure this was addressed countless times over the years when classic wow was announced but people ignored it. And now it like people are now realizing this.

idk, annihilating easy heroic 5mans was part of the fun
