Easy fix: allow goblin gliders to work in all content, including rated pvp, raids, and M+

And give the gliders a little bit of a midair “hop” on activation the same as the dracthyr racial can do. Also remove cooldown.

There, now everyone’s happy

Easy fix

To what?

the dracthyr stuff people are mad about

I don’t even understand what the heck anyone is mad about. Dracthyr double jump is a worse version of DH. Are we removing DH double jump too?

And where the hell is this stuff coming from?

Oh? I still don’t know what you’re talking about

This whole idea is as dumb as giving glide to the new Dracthyr classes.
No, thanks.

You mean Glide. Dracthyr do not have double jump.

People are complaining because the new dracthyr classes will have access to glide and the AoE CC/Interrupts, making them considerably better, specially in PvP and organized M+, in comparison to other races of the same classes.

I think it’s a double jump. The second jump is small, but it’s a mid-air upward boost that can change the direction you’re moving in. It’s a jump with a glide effect. Or maybe a glide with a jump effect. But there’s definitely a hop in there

Just make it so I can fly anytime anywhere.

A mild hop at best, nothing like the actual double jump of a DH.

We absolutely have a double jump. It’s a lesser version of DH. With an internal cooldown. We can basically keep up with a rogue if we utilize it as a movement bump.

  1. The racials are on a 3 minute cooldown. This is no different than other knockback racials that are on 1.5 and 2 min cooldowns.
  2. There is absolutely nothing glide can do anywhere that makes Dracthyr “better.”

If they do this then they need to give an item that mimics shadowmeld

I see, thank you for the context

You said it yourself.
Imagine its uses in PvP against targets trying to run.

Can you show it to me? Because I only see Glide, and it’s the exact same Glide as Demon Hunter’s, as shown below.

Dracthyr:

Demon Hunter:

It’s also clearly different for a class like DH, which was built with this advantage (perk, aspect, whatever) in mind, than it is to open it up to other classes as a racial.

Quite obviously doing as much as they can to incentivize playing their goof of a race.

So somehow keeping up is now “better than?” This makes no sense. And you have to try really hard to keep up using double jump and do absolutely nothing else. We can keep up with enchants as well. Is that now too good? Do we remove speed enchants too?

If you don’t know how it works, then don’t comment. You didn’t even know we had a double jump.

There are none. Everyone can get away just as easily. We travel barely anywhere with that bump. It’s like a mini hop with an internal cooldown.

Learn how it works before you make stuff up.

Proof you don’t even know what you are talking about.

Glide is irrelevant. No one has a meltdown over DH Glide in M+ or PvP. Nor has anyone had a meltdown over Evoker Glide.

Dracthyr don’t have double jump

You clearly don’t know how big of an advantage DH/Evoker glide is in PvP then, noted.
Also, you have yet to show me this “Dracthyr Double Jump”.
I already posted the gifs showing the Glide on DH and Evoker are the same thing.

Additionally, Glide is a spammable 78% speed buff for the duration, which is by no means useless or irrelevant, specially on maps with a lot of height abuse, like Twin Peaks, or even WSG, for flag carrying purposes.

Regarding the potential advantages of the dracthyr jump/glide, well the burst of speed is a big deal I think. it’s not just whether it’s on par with other class movement abilities, but that it will be in addition to them. Like how many times in a raid or dungeon have you had some mechanic randomly decide to drop on top of you and you had to move really far really fast. And most every class has a way to do that of course, but those ways have cooldowns, and some don’t go very far. The dracthyr hop-boost just supplements all of that.

Now maybe if you’re a top 1%er you would never need that extra boost, because you’re always in the right spot in the right time. But for the rest of us it’s a major bit of utility.

Also as someone who enjoys Battleground content most of all contents, (and am super hyped for the solo rated bgs), I can’t tell you how many ways it would improve the experience. Being able to grab a flag and fly over half the field before touching down, being able to hop back to ground after getting knocked off an edge, being able to zoom from lumbermill to blacksmith or blacksmith to mines, or just making some distance between you and that death knight training you. And with pvp in general, every bit of move speed counts in just so many ways.

Basically some mad pvpers are angry over double jumping.
When you got monks who can just dash across the map with flag or now you got dks having a horsey speed ability.

Not to mention being able to trick people into following you out of a platform and being able to return in many more classes, without needing to use a CD or setup, like lock teleport, mage displacement, monk transfer etc.
