**Easy Faction Ratio Fix For Balancing Servers**

So force people to leave their friends, their guilds, etc. That’s how you get people to flat out quit.

And from numbers back a launch there was notably more horde across ALL pvp servers, this isn’t a simple fix because there’s just not enough alliance playing pvp in general.

Same thing happened in Warmode launch, Blizzard had to GIVE alliance a huge bonus to get them to play.

Nobody has to pay me to skip reading walls of text.

Of course it doesn’t solve all issues. Neither will the idea of faction ques. But since we are spit balling ideas. Might as well toss that into the mix.

hey, at least your idea is better than faction queues honestly.

Which was my point of adding it. Faction ques won’t make people reroll to the other faction.

Another thing is not have cross server BGs.

At least for the low pop faction will have fast Q times.

nope, most won’t even transfer server and leave behind 3 months of relationships built, they’ll just quit.

your idea at least gets people playing together, it’s not about preventing people from playing

Nobody is forced to do anything, but do you understand where I’m coming from as far as giving horde incentive to actually use the faction based transfers? Currently there is little appeal for horde players to leave their current realms period.

True there are not as many alliance players vs horde across the board with pvp, opening up transfers from pvp to pve realms would help with this to an extent. But I don’t believe the answer is take a nap when the kitchen is on fire.

And then the rewards were nerfed because of complaints about the alliance doing what the horde has done for years lol, the call to arms quest was pretty high but was funny to see the shoe on the other foot.

They weren’t nerfed, they are based off population, more even the population, the less rewards.

Well, except for the ilvl of the pvp quest at like 8.1 launch or whatever ,that was broken

I should probably specify it was the call to arms quest to kill x amount of horde in warmode that was nerfed because the item level was high to some. I wouldn’t know though by how much or when because I quit playing retail in 8.1

it was insanely high, to the point it was unfair no matter who had had it. It was like heroic Daz ilvl long before heroic Daz was out

I was thinking faction % being relative to the server’s pop cap, not online population for the opposite faction i.e. 60% of 3k can be ally or horde at any time

I am drawing a blank on possible incentives to reroll the other faction.

Why did they choose their existing faction?

Faction fantasy.
Race fantasy.
Racial abilities.

So far, that list, rerolling to the other faction removes their reason.

To play with friends.
RNG race selection.

Playing with friends can be done on any faction (getting a group to move will be tricky) and people not attached to a race won’t have issues with rolling another faction.

Can’t see many people being open to faction changing just for balance sake.

I mean more along the lines of horde transferring their characters from Stalagg/Skeram/Herod to realms where the horde are not so dominant. (Heartseeker)

Here’s the problem with that. We’d need hard facts on populations. Not anecdotal or majority inaccurate websites based on barely used addons.

Blizzard just isn’t going to do that.

So this is worse than the issue of 500 alliance players and 2500 horde creating a “full” server? Even at a 750 horde cap, you still have 50% more than alliance is suffering with on that poor server–and bad faction balance just compounds the problem for the smaller faction.

Really blizzard could just maybe…release some actual data and let us make some information based decisions.

If launch data is any indication (nothing is perfect, census’s can only go so far) it wouldn’t really matter, overall the horde outnumbers the alliance in pvp, not just servers, just pvp in general

And i’d bet money on it being like that.

I highly doubt preventing say, horde creating more characters or logging on when theres less alliance is going to do much to help world pvp imbalance while simultaneously pissing off an entire faction of players. I doubt people would enjoy seeing "yeah you can’t play that lvl 60 you spent so much time on and enjoy playing every day until more people make alliance chars on your server reroll kkthnkx  "

Que times are proof and Playing on the server where you see 2 ally in IF is proof- Fact is the game is 100% broke

There’s a solution to the queue… it’s Blizzard opening up transfers to new servers.
