Not necessarily just like the most OP class, but one that has ease of play and also gets invited to groups. I’m fine with a tank or healer since that’ll make it easier to get into groups. Was leaning Guardian Druid or R Sham since they both seem OK enough and also not very complex to play.
What else are some safe bets to pug KSM with that don’t require a PhD to play (hyperbole) but also don’t totally gimp groups.
I’d say prot warrior. They’re very easy to play, and nigh invincible in low keys. They deal tons of damage (in low keys), and have no current bugs that you have to play around.
R shaman works fine too if you prefer healing, but you’ll lack the same level of control of the dungeon that you’ll have as a tank.
DPS is best avoided, while no doubt they’re the easiest to reach X rating with, they have a much harder time finding groups. If you’re fine with tanking and healing then that will be much quicker.
Resto shaman is a great choice for pugging KSM. Easy solid heals and the best pug utility kit. Honestly you can get KSM easy on any healer. If you’re just starting to gear run delves and 2’s, then 4’s, then 7’s and collect your mount.
Keep mind that OP is only looking for KSM, which is like what a mix of 7s and 6s timed? I don’t think most people are super picky about tank classes at that level.
Second on the Warrior tank. Press ignore pain and then slap your keyboard randomly until you hit ignore pain again. Shield wall if you think you’re going to eat grass. Probably the easiest tank to pick up and just roll with.
Both specs I play I’ve found insanely easy to get keys.
No 1: Protection Paladin. Your Avenger’s Shield generate decent hate, you can carry runs which might otherwise fail due to kicks and you have a very strong kit + set bonus synergy this season. Big trick is set procs + Hammer of Light = Spam Shield of the Righteous for the win damage wise. Very fun class to play and quite strong IMO.
No 2: Blood DK. You can grip in adds and have very strong survivability. I find this is my ideal tank to run keys with someone learning how to heal because I can take care of myself.
