Easily see any DOTs/debuffs on you

Hello,

What’s the easiest/quickest/surest way to know if you have any dots or debuffs on you?

Whenever I find myself in a pickle (being ganked, etc.), my top priority is to get in the clear long enough to cast Invisibility because that gives me 20 seconds and is usually long enough to allude my attacker. The problem is knowing when I’m “in the clear” because it blows to cast Invisibility and have it interrupted by a DOT I didn’t recognize was still ticking.

I realize that dots/debuffs have indicators in the upper-right corner but in a dire situation they are hard to quickly identify mixed in with the indicators for my own attributes/buffs. The same problem exists when trying to pick them out under my nameplate.

It would be nice to have a spot somewhere on the screen that shows all dots/debuffs and nothing else.

Is that doable?

By the way, I use the addon TellMeWhen but I don’t know if it has a setting to show what I’m after.

Thanks

I tried to find an addon that works like GTFO for personal DoTs, but couldn’t find anything. I suggest just getting used to looking in the upper right of your screen before you pop a cd.

Weakauras can, and you can place the notices front and center. However, you’ll have to make a new WA for each debuff you could get.
Z-perl (Unit frames addon) lets you position buffs and debuffs above or below your unit frame, AND change the size of the debuffs. Unfortunately, you can’t display just debuffs.

And, my debuffs are displayed below all the other buffs. Isn’t this the default?

With Elvui you can have the buffs/debuffs show up wherever you want. I have mine above my health bar and have moved it to not far above the spellbars. I used Ipse’s Elvui profile and tweaked things to my liking: wago . io / NJKeS0baz

Thanks for the helpful comments.

Threat plates works great for me, it lets me see my active dots on my targets and also tracks their active buffs.
