#1 Make serpent sting, arcane shot and traps scale with RAP.
#2 Make true shot aura raid wide or add spell power to it so it is a benefit to casters when in the ranged group.
Instead, I am sure you will just keep buffing dead runes until they are at best a liner change from current runes and does not actually help.

There is a lot more that needs to happen than this. The rune placement is bad. Most of the leg talents talents are worthless. The fact that you can take Lone Wolf and Beast Mastery makes no sense. Lion is practically mandatory on horde for most groups. So much work needs to be done to untangle the problems.

Most classes have those rune problems and are just fine. They also have mandatory runes. The problem with hunters now is the same problem that happens in BWL+ in classic and that is that hunters do not scale. It needs to be fixed and it will fix our #1 problem (DPS class that does really bad DPS).

hmm, this sounds interesting and all…but we are just going to increase sniper training’s crit buff to 15% next patch. that should do it.

i hate that i want to play ranged hunter… i thought it would be fun in this version of wow but its just barely above a frost mage.
many things they could do to improve RANGED hunters without impacting the op melee hunter…
- magic ammo book (removed the need of having ammo and adds .5 to 1dps to your ‘magic ammo’ based on your character level)
- imbue ammo allow hunters to switch ammo from phyiscal to fire/frost/poison
- steady shot multiplictive - start off at 100% steady shot and the next steady shot to 150% and next 200% infinite scaling and offer after the 3rd steady shot to reset the bonus by launching an instant aimed shot.
Yeah and lower the agi scaling from 59 down to 10! I think Aimpaum listed its 53 but 53agi is actually rogues (we are at 59) 
I think rogues are at 29 but still doesnt make sense as to why hunters need double the amount compared to other classes. Funnily enough every other class has at least the same or even more crit chance from less stats.

As long as steady shot has reduced damage, ill never use it. Waste of mana and time.

Hunters already slap in PvP. Have to be careful with buffing them in ways that make them even stronger in PvP. Idk, the bosses die and I’m sure as hell not doing slightly above the tanks damage in raids because not everyone is parsing a 99
Adjusting sniper training and making it linger to allow for movement would be a nice fix

100% it’s all going to come down to scaling issues.
Even if they fix everything else, the moment world buffs are introduced at 60 it all goes out the window compared to other classes dps.
Realistic easiest way to fix ranged hunters:
Make Steady Shot actually viable so that it’s able to be used in a PvE environment to increase DPS.
Any other changes are going to goof-up PvP and all the “muh stv” kids are going to lose their marbles.
Hunters should not be pushing top 4-5 of dps due to AoTL, and Tranq Shot. Sorry, it is what it is.
pls add to this weapons that make all specs viable. as current, the biggest reason for runter falloff is inappropriate weapon design

Its already hard enough to get off an aimed shot cast without you getting dove on by 4 people. Probably never be able to stack Steady Shot in PvP.
Hunters are the only pure DPS class left in the game. Cope.
Your hunters mark issue, I’m fairly certain HM applies to all ranged attacks, not just the hunter who applied it. Do you have any evidence to the contrary?
This is why we (ranged hunters) have to be #1 on the dps charts by at least 25% more than the 2nd place class in PVE

you are correct. The hunter that has the best mark is the one that sticks and all ranged attacks (even rogues/warriors) will take advantage of the ranged attack bonus on said marked target
