Easiest way to fix guardian druid

Pretty much title. Druid of the claw hits about a 50% damage increase over Elune’s chosen in ST. Easiest way to fix

Lunar beam does 500% increased damage from current. But now damage is split between all mobs hit. (Hits guardian druid dps in very large pulls a little bit but makes up for it in ST, keeping M+ balance about the same while letting guardian druid be… not terrible for ST.

This doesn’t make up for the flaws of DoTC:

  • weak self-heal
  • weak AoE dmg
  • useless shapeshifting in m+
  • no lunar beam, arguably the best cd in game.
  • less rage gen.
    The only reason it’s usuable in raid is just because you can catweave in raids and it does more ST dmg than EC.

I like it.

Itd be be nice if ravage actually procced outside of incarn. When i tested it I was actually only getting like 1-2 procs between each incarn.

The lunar beam change is nice but DotC should probably get something to prop up its aoe to keep them both viable across content types. Maybe 1 garunteed ravage on entering combat with a 20 second ICD or something to give some reliable aoe damage and threat on pull, since threats looking like itll be a problem next patch.

It really does need a spec tree overhaul though; Remember when blizz said they were gonna move talents made mandatory by hero tree to be more accessible in the spec tree so it wouldnt be as limiting to build diversity, and then did that for pretty much every spec but bear, lunar beam as capstones and leaving pulverize in the samespot without any buffs to make it remotely desirable even with the hero tree.

Making the keystone ability of a spec, revolve around RNG is not a good thing. I’d much rather it be changed into an every 3rd raze/maul or something. Or based on rage spent, anything to give a little more agency on when it comes up and is usable.

Someone else already said it, but dotc also feels squishy compared to moon bear, and is more susceptible to running out of things you can do to not die. The shifting part of it is neat, but in practice is a lot of effort for not enough payoff.

You only shift in Raid while not actively tanking in DOTC and never in M+. I know the Cat/Bear glory days were supposed to be reborn with DOTC but I really do wish they would rethink the Hero talents to just make it a bleed spec. They could have thrash apply rip’s to targets while in Bear form (rage builder) and have Maul/Raze proc into a Ferocious Bite (s) (rage spender).

  1. 300% buff to UF to match new HP scaling (basically the same fix they applied to WoG last season)
  2. Rework ravage to upgrade tooth and claw procs (and be free).
  3. Pulverize reworked to be AoE
  4. Return Frenzy to DF season 2 tuning and move it and GG to be relatively exclusive (or make it a choice mode)
  5. 8% increased damage to maul/raze and 13% damage increase to thrash bleed damage.
