Hey all. So I will get right to it. Because of a car accident around 20 years ago I have limited use of both my hands. I have been playing this game off and on for a little and have been watching a lot of Heroic and Mythic raiding. Looks so darn fun.
So my question is, what spec(s) (tank, DPs or heal) really requires the least amount button input and/or constant movement and is still needed by Heroic and eventually Mythic raid guilds?
I was just watching Mythic Sire fight and I got so pumped… watching the teamwork, everyone focusing, raid leader barking out orders… it was just so cool. I want to be part of that but of course I want to earn it…
Watcha think?
Havoc DH potentially, but they’re melee so thats a struggle. Frost mage doesn’t have that many inputs, has strong mobility, and is range so you can see the breadth of the encounter.
As a BM hunter, I can tell you my spec is very easy and can pump out some damage. I have never had the desire to step into Mythic, but I do heroic and even that is fairly easy. I think melee is much harder (I have a fury warrior).
Marksmen, fire mage, balance, fairly simple and strong specs, well marks is a little lower now. Range always have an easier time raiding
I disagree with fire mage. Combust windows are insanely important and insanely spammy and require some degree of precision. I think it lands outside of OPs strike zone. And besides, fire is gonna be the weakest mage spec for raid next patch, and will likely be edged out at least by frost in m+.

Any spec is easy once you play it for a bit. I say if you want range MM hunter, BM hunter, frost mage as for melee DH, ret pally, fury warrior
I can vouch for BM Hunter! It’s pretty good and it doesn’t have insane button bloat.
You can also set yourself up with GSE2 and WoWLazyMacros to put your rotation all in one button, if that would be helpful.
Ok, thanks for the feedback… Any healers?
Yeah, if you want to actually be effective at playing Fire Mage being able to maximize your Combust window is insanely important and can be pretty complex and APM heavy.
Frost would be a much better recommendation for Mage specs.
Hunter would be a better recommendation overall.
Its BM hunter, the answer is always BM hunter
Holy Priest is the easiest hands down.
Tanks have the least responsibility in Raids, and Vengeance DH is the best one.
Also almost impossible to get a Mythic raid slot as a tank, though.
Are you constrained by actions per minute (APM) or range / reach of keys?
This is a great question… So my right hand controls mouse and I am able to left click easy, right click is clunky (only one finger works). Left hand on keyboard and only have use of 2 fingers. So it is difficult to strafe out of stuff while attacking… its like I have to choose one or the other… and its usually move out of the junk so I don’t die.
So to actually answer your question, it is both. I need minimal keys to press, but also my wrist and fingers get VERY tired and sore if there is major APM.
Personally in retail and even if this is an unpopular opinion but healing was always easier for me than DPS. From topping the meters to do mechanics (because raid leads assign less to you other than “move away from the fire or dispell X when Dbm tells you”)
I’d go with BM Hunter, Elemental Shaman, or Resto Druid. Lower APM. Although anything in Mythic is going to be very intense.
Thanks.
I would recommend BM hunter or Elemental Shaman. Although specs like Fury and Havoc are extremely simple to play, both have higher APM. You’re also better off in ranged if you’re having trouble strafing and simultaneously using abilities as melee tend to have more “avoid” mechanics.
This OP needs a low APM class ultimately.
For those recommending havoc or fury…no just no.
I would recommend warlock specifically Destruction. Soul stone and lock gates are great to have in raid. They have low APM and go great in 2 target cleave fights which sanctum has.

ret paladin, hit abilities to fill up your “holy power bar” and use a finisher. It’s truely easy to learn, but hard to master (as you are a paladin and can do more then just dps!)
