Easiest range pvp class

Hi I’m looking to get into PvP with very little experience. I only play range DPS. What class would be the most beginner friendly?

BM hunter is pretty easy its a bit weak rn though.

Mage is also easy to do damage on, the tricky part of mage is learning to read damage and trade correctly and kite. IE don’t burn both shimmer and knock for a single charge.

SP/Warlock while strong do require learning to juke well and managing DoT uptime or resources. Despite my experience I find navigating warlock mobility to be a chore and not as easy as it looks.

MM while easy to do damage on, correctly kiting on it and landing traps under pressure is a lot harder then it looks.

Def look to start on BM or like frost mage.

Boomie is pretty easy once you get all the keybindings

Kind of echoing what Setback said

BM is incredibly beginner friendly, but is tuned pretty poorly right now. I think MM is easy to do damage on and it’s not too challenging to learn how to use their CC correctly which is a huge strength for the spec.

I think the safest class to roll here would be Hunter. BM could get better with time depending on tuning, but MM right now has a lot of frontloaded damage, so you can contribute and have fun pretty easily, but still have room to grow as you learn how to manage your CC and distance appropriately.

I think sPriest feels tiring simply because keeping people off you is something you yourself are not equipped to do well. Mages and Warlocks have tools to put distance between them and enemies, but sPriest really doesn’t, and while Warlock’s tools are strong, they’re not particularly intuitive and are punishing if placed incorrectly.

Ya the only real issue with hunter is he said hes learning PVP.

Hunter you gotta kite and rotate CC well, macro pet freedom/sac etc. Kiting on a hunter vs like warrior/dk/rogue is HAAAAAAAAAAALP if you don’t know how to do any of that.

Mage is pretty simple in terms of blink every closer until your out and blast one and alter kite too.

Learning hunter is gonna be awfully painful in bgs/shuffle vs the onslaught of warriors/dk/assa rogue rn. All 3 of those classes have easy mode max tearing amateur hunters to shreds.

Usually it’s BM hunter. Right now I’m a bit iffy on suggesting it because of the bad state it’s in. I would recommend Dev tbh.

Don’t play bm hunter that spec is Terrible right now.

Easiest ranged right now are dev evoker and marksmanship hunter

Devastation Evoker is fun and arguably the easiest range pvp spec.

BM hunter or Frost mage.

Your best bets are BM Hunter or Devastation Evoker.

Dev evoker is the easiest to get into.

Ret pally for sure

BM Hunter is always the go to beginner friendly ranged class…but it does literally zero damage right now and with every other class just simply having much more to offer I wouldn’t recommend even trying BM until Blizzard decides to tune it properly.

Honestly I’ve always found Ele Shaman to be extremely beginner friendly due to the fact that you rarely ever have to cast anything anymore. So you won’t really need to worry too much about faking. The only time you’re casting on Ele is to get a CC off or maybe to try and top yourself with a heal etc. Other than that Ele is purely instants and relying on just throwing down a totem that spreads mass Flameshocks.

Hunter
Can’t get silenced. Can’t get interrupted. Only ranged in the game that can do that. Stealth to get optimal positioning.
Instant cc on top of instant cc that has no cast bar.
Purge does nothing to you.
You don’t even have to be in LOS to keep damaging an opponent as BM
You can actually chase people.

I mean it can’t get much easier then that.
Keybind your pet.

Tossup between Hunter, Frost Mage or Devastation.

def hunturd

i idsagree that dev is easiest

sure the rotation is easiest

but knowing when to fly in or out requires thought, unlike braindead moonkins and hunturds standing 50 yards back free of all attacks and cc

No, it doesn’t. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:
