Easiest range pvp class

Hi,

I can only play with one hand and foot pedals and have been enjoying raiding on a hunter, priest, warlock and mage (alliance). I want to get into pvp for something to do in between.

I was wondering what class would be the easiest to pvp with?

Appreciate any help!

Warlock is another class that we used to call an “island” class in old PvP circles

As that visual implies you can act as an island and use CC to control an open area. Like the center of the arena, rather than pillar humping and juking LOS. Did this simple strat with hunt and lock.

Healer hides.

Great for carries and might be a good DPS option for you.

Make sure you have a pocket healer and when anyone even thinks about going in their direction send them running. Then adjust as you learn. Get a feel for it and you will know when to peel for your buddy. Your buddy can peel for himself, heal, etc, so think about DR and other stuff so you are ready for the future.

This should work for you. Get good at it and carry folks in cata. Make that G$

EDIT: I should note that warlock is not easy, but I think I play warlock with one hand while drinking/eating :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You have to bind and macro and understand other classes. I would say that warlock has the highest PvP skill cap, but this is not Street Fighter II. “Skill” in wow is more than pressing buttons. The button press’n is the easiest part as folks like you know.

Edit 2: this really better not be a “what is the easiest class” bait thread

Is this hand on the mouse?

If you don’t have access to your keyboard mage has a lot of keybinds for pvp. Probably wouldn’t recommend.

I use an azeron cyro so kind of keyboard mouse combo

Well I have no idea how that works, looks like the mouse movements might be a little slow compared to an actual mouse since its an joystick which could make quick direction movement harder, especially if you need to quick 180 blink. But that is the only issue I can see so if you got that mastered anyways I don’t see anything keeping you from playing mage.

With one hand….

Affliction lock prolly too many buttons but it’s the most fun imo. Siphon life on everyone running around and watching them try to kill ya lol.

Ranged hunter is actually alot more work than melee hunter so prolly out.

Boomkin again more buttons.

Personally I’d say healbot priest. If you like pvp and heals. But if dps spam frost fire bolt on mage. Seems to be all they do. And blink lol.

Maybe this will help. Check out his wow videos.

If you can learn to use a razor naga you can definitely play with one hand.

Assuming one pedal is forward/back and the other is left/right.

The only thing I use my left hand for (giggity) is strafing.

Boomie.

You just equip defensive runes, use them when you get hit by melee. Then press a couple of buttons from range to kill everyone.

For Pvp? Spriest. Hit 2 dots and watch them rot, if they don’t have a healer they will most likely die from 2 instant cast spells.

BM hunter.

You just macro everything to scroll button and tab. You can mash your face on keyboard too and has same effect.

I have 7 buttons i can easily press and 4 i can if i sacrifice mobility temporarily. Movement is with joystick. Pedals are alt, shift and control.

Mobility is fine for raids but is not precise enough in pvp and i really struggle to kite on my hunter. Abilities that require a pedal are fine in pve but clanky in fast paced pvp.

Affliction lock or spriest interest me most outside of mm hunter which is to hard for me

I will vote for either BM (ranged or melee) hunter, or Spriest. Both classes can play highly effectively with simple rotations/CD usage. I personally play ranged (marksman) hunter in PvP because it has LOTS of buttons to press lol, and I find that more engaging.

That being said, I could likely still get a top 3 KDR in AB as BM Melee hunter, its still very very strong.

Thank you!

As Mzpaladin said, Shadow Priest. As much as I hate them and think 2 instant cast dots shouldn’t kill you, they do. Has to be by far the easiest class to pump damage. Dot everyone you can see and then cast dispersion if someone jumps on you. GG

While you can make warlock significantly more accessible by using meta rune, it’s not nearly as strong as non meta warlock is one you know the class, and warlock is significantly more “in depth” than other caster options.

I’d recommend shadow personally, it’s really easy to get the hang of and very strong for pvp. Fire mage is another with pretty simplistic gameplay you can likely do well with

Is bm range viable as well?

Shadow Priest. Its OP for PVP and its easy to play. Perfect for your needs.

Absolutely! As much hate as BM range gets from the hunter discord (rightfully, its technically “worse” than other options, aka ranged/marksman), I’ve gone 25 Kills+/2-5 deaths as BM Ranged in the most recent patch in AB, the build can consistently “Top 3”.

I personally just enjoy lock n load trap launcher WAY too much, so I play full marskman now. But the combination of BM (Bestial wrath + Intimidation) while blasting at range is very very strong. Trap launcher is also incredibly powerful, and fits perfectly with this playstyle.
The real key with BM is pet management, using dash/prowl etc tactically and keeping cooldowns available (freezing/frost trap etc) so you can get away when needed.

Thank you! Do you have a build?
