I have three more challenges left to get the book mount and am looking for some advice. I need to do
“An Impossible Foe” - Elemental Shaman, Feral Druid, Fire Mage, Fury Warrior, Outlaw Rogue, Unholy Death Knight
“End of the Risen Threat” (healer challenge) - Holy Priest, Restoration Druid, Restoration Shaman, Mistweaver Monk, Holy Paladin
“The Highlord’s Return” (tank challenge) - Blood Death Knight, Guardian Druid, Protection Paladin, Protection Warrior, Brewmaster Monk, Vengeance Demon Hunter.
Does anyone have any experience with these and have an opinion on ones that are particularly easy or difficult?
I do not play any of the above specs except for Holy Priest, which I have heard is the hardest to do the healing challenge. Although I’m not afraid of learning something new. I learned affliction and discipline (which was by far the easiest) for the sole purpose of mage tower.
I only did “The Highlord’s Return” as a prot warrior in the original mage tower and, while extraordinarily frustrating at the time that I did it, I can say having heroic leap/charge was a life saver if I borked facing an eye. Not sure how other classes handled it; I can say as a warrior you had to space out kills and make liberal use of impending victory to survive. Also had to use the artifact special to eat the last Annihilation, don’t know how that’s handled now.
I did “An Impossible Foe” as combat rogue. Wasn’t too bad at the time, and that was pretty much the last time I played my rogue. I can’t imagine how it is with the current kit, but I would guess there are easier classes.
