Easiest healer for a Newb?

Im usually Dps but i wanna start doing dungeons and lfr but i havent tried healing much before.

Edit : If i choose resto ill still have to do open world stuff, how hard will that be trying to juggle between heals and cat/ bear.

Also what would be the best/ fastest way to start gearing thanks?

Priest is usually a good starting point. Two options for healing so you can learn two different things before needing a new class

I’ve enjoyed shaman healing in the past, especially with LFR.

Either Holy Priest or Resto Druid.

I wouldn’t recommend Discipline until you’re comfortable or getting comfortable healing.

I second this. There always seems to be a haste breakpoint where chain heal spamming, for the most part, is good enough.

Plus it looks pretty.

Fun with power words

Might be a good starting spec if youre used to doing dps.

After all, you throw out your attonement and then dps away. (Or at least thats how it used to play. I used to main it but moved to play warlock mid shadowlands)

H Priest and Druid.

Holy priest and resto druid for starters. You really want to study up on macros and add-ons for healing in groups, though, and watch some videos and so on before trying to do it “on the fly”.

Mouse overs are essential

Maybe. It is also more proactive than reactive though because you’re healing by minimizing damage intake.

Resto Druid

Holy Priest

When I went back to healing I started on a priest and hated it. :joy: I went over to my Druid and everything clicked. Druid requires a bit more encounter knowledge and when to anticipate heavy damage before it comes it. But it was a great first healer and then I slowly realized proactive healing was much easier than reactive healing so I stopped trying to figure out holy priests much.

Shaman was good, too but I still felt less capable than when I was on my Druid. I stopped healing this season though, so the new changes might put much more value in priests.

Maybe an u unpopular choice but I really enjoy mistweaver
