What is the easiest dps class on rotation? I’m tired of healing and I want something mindless to dps on. I hear DH is easy but just checking out the guides from icyveins and wowhead it makes it seem more in depth than what people say. Thoughts?
Havoc Demon Hunter or BM Hunter. ez
this.
Accurate af.
So why do the guides make it look complex lol. I hear it’s 4 buttons or what not but the guides make it look annoying.
Are you agreeing with the fellow above you or saying warriors are the easiest?
Because fury warriors are pretty easy too.
I heard with fury its not even a “rotation” it’s more like a priority thing for what to do, is that correct?
none of them are hard…
Most specs are easy tbh. Dh is one of the easiest. Here is a simplified guide.
Use the demonic talent build then follow these steps.
Use eyebeam as much as possible
Use blade dance as much as possible.
Spend your fury
Build fury.
That’s all you need for 90% of Dh
I find DH easy but i dont main it. Maybe there is depth in building them? On the other hand any advice on boomkins? are they hard, a friend new to the game started one and i have to teach her
There are various builds, but the easiest Havoc Build, and the easiest to excel with, is the Demonic build. (What I’m using.)
You have one fury charge-up ability. Demon’s Bite. Which is a little stronger than an auto-attack.
My DPS Rotation is as follows:
Open with Heart of Azeroth (HoA) ability.
Demon’s bite(DB) until Fury is full.
Eye Beams.
Fel Dance on Cool-down.
Chaost Strike when Fury is up for damage and to spawn orbs. Spam strafe left/strafe right keys constantly to pick up orbs.
When first Eye Beam Meta is off, second charge of HoA ability followed by DB spam to full fury and pop full Meta, this should space out the HoA charges so that you can now use on CD without worrying about losing damage due to the burn-effect stacking over itself. Eye Beam to add 8 seconds to Meta. You should be able to get 2 beams in on a single Meta CD.
Fel Dance on CD, Chaos strikes when fury is available for them.
Rinse/Repeat until target is dead.
Pretty much, it is essential to never let rage sit at cap or you will be losing lots of potential dps. That and keeping the whirlwind buff up (there’s only 2 stacks so it’s used often) for aoe.
The GCD change really impacted BM, especially Orc or Troll. You have to press 3 buttons before you start your damage spells. Not hard but annoying as hell that is my ‘burst’ opener.
Basically, yeah. Check out some class guides if you want details but it’s pretty simple.
It’s just really high apm so if you don’t like fast paced specs… may want to pick something else.
DH, 3 button rotation, strong AoE and ST damage. Epic mobility, decent utility. Absolutely 0 weaknesses in the spec.
Havoc talented according to icy has a 4 button rotation. BM Hunter talented according to icy has a 3 button rotation. Just saying.
Actually arcane mage has a 2 button rotation if you think about it. But if you actually played it that way you’d fail big time in the dps department.
So if Demon’s Bite is the main fury builder why don’t the guides say that. Wouldn’t you lose out on dps if you spam it? (If it’s slightly better over auto attack)
Depends on what build the Guides are talking about, and whether or not they’re going with the passive auto-attack fury builder or not.
I personally hate the auto-attack fury builder. It’s RNG dependent and inconsistent, and the Momentum/Fel-rush build is annoying because you have a solid chance of disconnecting due to character speed/server systems.
If you check my Talents, you’ll see I chose Insatiable Hunger vs Demon Blades (passive Auto-attack) or Immolation Aura (load of meh, IMO).
It makes the build very spammy, as every spare GCD that isn’t Blade Dance, Eye Beams, or Chaos Strike is spamming the Demon’s Bite button to build more fury.
It is the lowest damage ability you will press. Press things in this order
Eyebeam
Blade dance.
Chaos strike (whatever the name of the spender is)
Then demons bite last priority
There is of course extra min maxing and pooling resources or holding cds for add phases etc but following that order will get you a long way
Demon Hunter guide: Press 1 to generate, 2 to spend, and on occasion some other button, maybe, if needed.
