Easiest class?

Started with Pally made it to level 24 before dying. Whats the easiest class in your opinion?

The easiest class will be the one you have the most mastery of and understand the deeper mechanics. For instance mage can be S+ tier or B tier, the same is doubly true for hunters and warlocks.

So what are you good at? What are you willing to practice?

Rogue/warlock are my two favorite classes so far, but hunter is good too. Paladin is considered a strong HC class, but they are boring to play. Priest is another strong one especially if you go full disc leveling instead of ever going shadow which would just be a safer playstyle. They are also boring.

Classes I’d personally avoid are mage and warrior. I straight up dislike mage and warrior has obvious pitfalls.

A lot of classic is just being safe until 20s when your class toolkit is more rounded out.

I’d say probably Hunter. Ranged class, tons of kiting potential at even a low skill floor level; and the pet to draw things off of you to make for ease of escape makes it very friendly to newer players.

I started as a Paladin, go to 20 and died. Though I will say the death was entirely my fault and wasn’t about the class I was playing. Self healing from the Paladin is amazing and your killspeed is still good.

Edit → My current character is a Hunter and I’m 26. Leveled in about half the time too. It’s crazy fast.

I’ve been told that if I do paladin I’ll be auto-attacking my way to 60 - which, at least at low levels has been true >.<

But yeah, a lot of class toolkits start to round out around 20

Yeah just look at their talent tree and you’ll see you gain virtually nothing in the way of new active abilities. By the time you have seal of the crusader, judge, and seal of righteousness you basically have your rotation; you just replace righteousness with command when you get it.

I leveled this rogue to 60 in OG Classic, so that’s what I’m playing for HC. Only difference is I’m Horde this time.

Frost Mage. Slows that work on most mobs in the game as well as roots. Has plenty of defensives, good damage if you want to do dungeons. The class has so many outs.

Paladin is very safe to play.

when do you get something other than auto attack?

Later on. At 20 you get Seal of Command (if you spec Ret) and you get the added mechanic of judging Seal of Command into a HoJ stunned target for extra damage.

Eventually you will also spec into Holy for Consecration to have an aoe button. And also Hammer of Wrath which is a ranged execute, but kinda sucks.

Easiest Class is Hunter. Just don’t be like 90% of Hunters that don’t level their defense and melee weapon skills. If you keep those up to date you should have smooth sailing to 60.

That won’t be hard because I’m terrible at kitting.

Priest, currently at 33, only time I almost died was when healing group elite quest in Redridge, with bad group that pulled 6 elites and any healing meant my aggro.

Power word shield.
Wand.

Rinse and repeat.

Easiest class to level to 60, you’ll never die. Just do 1 mob at a time, if you pull 2, u got aoe fear or shackle undead.

But. If you do group content, make sure u don’t heal too soon and you use fade to lose threat.
As solo player, easy 60.

Extra tip: Buy good wands, they’re worth it. Mobs won’t even break through your shield when you have good wand.

I started leveling a prot warrior and never would’ve thought I’d make it to lvl 28 almost 29 after previously losing 2 lvl 20 toons.

Deep Prot FTW. Slow N Steady Challenge.

That’s a tough question in my opinion. Some of the classes I might think are “easy” also bore me to tears. So not exactly a playstyle I’d want to adopt for a main. That’s just me though.

Having the most tools doesn’t mean easiest. Are mages good at flag running in WSG? Sure, they have all the tools they need. Is it easy to do it as a mage then? Hell no. Druid and warrior is easier for that.

how did your die? bubble on cd?

Any healing class if you save your mana for heals. I like druids because they have heals, an early speed boost and stealth, 3 things that speed up levelling. But in HC stealth could be a double edged sword if it encourages more risky play.

In SoM I tried soul of iron on priest and died first time at lvl 52 because I forgot the Cauldron in Searing Gorge is a cave.

This is a HC discussion, not a PvP discussion.
Mages are fine for HC if you know what you are doing. Just like any other class.
