Hey so I’m looking for something to main for PvP that isn’t super boring for other content in wow outside of arena because I don’t do arena every second I play. But I don’t want something that requires clutch plays in arena to be effective, Healer was an original thought but I was barely 1600 rated viable before the mana nerf… I’d be screwed now. Ideas?
Not being dry/boring rotation wise is just as important being easy to do well with… I understand this is a bit subjective but Arcane mage comes to mind, outside of PvP it is terribly boring to me

I would say depends on your playstyle. Either caster or melee play whichever you are better/more comfortable as.
Out of melee Ret, Unholy, and DH are all braindead especially Dh the class is a joke. Ret has limited good comps but all 3 are amazing specs rn.
Casters: can’t go wrong with mage, all 3 specs are viable, arcane is easy rotation wise but I would say there is a skillcap in playstyle especially vs melee.

I thought maybe hunter because there are the only class I can think of that has the option of both range and melee… I’m not a fan of Druids this expansion. That being said everyone seems to think hunters are crap right now for MM and BM, which leaves survival and that’s a pretty high skill cap as far as I can tell. My hunter is only 346 ilvl but kiting alone as survival feels way harder than the other specs … or any other class lol
Thought about a warrior… but Arms is a joke, fury is ok, Prot… I’m just waiting for the nerf that takes them out of arena by making the comps it plays on no longer viable. Do I want that? No… but I don’t want to put a ton of time into a spec that is only arena viable once in awhile… no one seems to like to team up with tanks
Deathkight is really fun we are strong right now but I wouldn’t play anything but unholy even if it sucked

I don’t think I would play fire, if anything for the first while I would play Frost…which I’m not sure where that sits these days.
UH Dk… yea I know they are good, rotation wise, prob not boring… but every time I go on mine I’m pissed that I can’t play 2h frost and I just log off lol
It’s funny that Destro is all the rave now… I mained it at launch for arena and rbgs up to 8.1 … got tired of it. Then they got demon armor and the Meta changed. Now I’m tired of a class that apparently is doing amazing lol
Nothing is “easy” when it comes to picking a class for pvp. Every spec has easy and hard aspects and are different.
Instead of looking at what’s “easy” look for what you enjoy.

I truly respect your input and see where you are coming from, but i don’t enjoy getting my butt kicked because the learning curve/skillcap of what I’m playing is too high for me to be truly good at (survival), also don’t enjoy not getting any games in because no one wants to play with the class/spec I enjoy for example Tank specs.
I see, unfortunately if you are playing a non-meta spec it will be hard to get mates.
I’d recommend DH as they are extremely fun to play(also very meta right now) and are decent in arena. As for complexity that more depends on what rating or mmr you are playing at; however they aren’t too difficult to do well with at lower ratings.
I’ve heard good things about protection warriors but they can be a bit dull to play.

Lol having two key abilities aside, I’ll admit I can play a mage, but mistweaver is far more difficult… it may just be my opinion but respect to anyone who heals and does it well in arena… I believe it is far harder to be a good healer than it is to be a good dps.
Wish I could find something easy and enjoyable… DH just isn’t for me… I hate elves lol
In that case you can try WW monk. They are a little more complicated than DH but if you can’t play an elf then it might be for you.
As for casters possibly Boomkin.
play a match and win a game by only pushing button poly and Gpyro,

Idk if there’s a class more pruned than Warrior, for simplicity it’s prob always gonna be a melee at this point.
Forerunners being fury and havoc dh. Both specs self heal with their normal rotations and have 1 major dps ability to push on cd.
So long as you’re pushing rampage or blade dance on cd you’re winning half the battle
